Within walking distance to main street and shops and restaurants. Cosy fireplace.

Rats in roof Ceiling needs repair: sagging Towels too small and quality fair.

Great location, appreciated the electric blanket and underfloor heating. Enough towels were given which is great!

It would be nice to have solar or an inverter at a property to be able to keep working during loadshedding.

The fireplace was lovely. The cottage is comfortable and well equiped. The location of the cottage is ideal.

Location - excellent Privacy - good 2-bed cottage - has good bathrooms and a decent kitchen with a good size fridge/freezer The property manager (Les) - was excellent. She went out of her way on Saturday afternoon to get the television working. Thank you for that, much appreciated.

Considering we booked 3 adults X 6 days, paid a decent sum of money and the property was unserviced, there are areas we feel let the property down: * There is no backup electricity solution. (there was a single lamp that one could use if there was no electricity) Other than that, no candle/torch or an alternative gas solution was provided. A load-shedding schedule would also have been useful and helpful. * I feel ceiling or floor fans are critical because the property is not air-conditioned. (for when there is power). * The smell. When we entered the property there was a strong smell of smoke. We suspect it comes from the fireplace and the property being closed up for a long time. Once we opened windows and doors it did help but there is an overall musty smell in the cottage - perhaps it's the carpets, we aren't sure, but fresh-smelling it is not! * Rats/mice - or something living in the ceiling/roof. It's noisy up there! You can hear them day and night, especially at night. Not pleasant at all - maybe they have something to do with the smell? * The tiniest, most uncomfortable double bed and "pap" pillows I have ever slept in/on. I believe rented accommodation should at the very least, provide a queen size if not a king bed for couples. * There was no safe provided for valuables. * Only one set of towels was provided - not acceptable for a 6-day stay. * Toilet paper - only 2 rolls of toilet paper were provided - also not enough for 6 days. * There was dust around some of the plugs (especially those adaptor plug systems on the floor). I don't like getting someone else hair and goodness knows what else on my hands when I need an adaptor. * There is no wifi. If you are not going to provide these items then say so in your property description. We could have then made provision to take additional towels, toilet paper, candles/torches etc.
