The apartment is on a boat in the canal, in a quiet part of town that's very close to the city centre and has a view of the old and beautiful Prins Frederikkazerne. The apartment is perfect for two people. Everything is spotless and the host is very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

The stairs down to the bedroom and bathroom are a bit steep, which was no issue for us, but can be tricky. Other than that, I can't think of any downsides.

Everything, but especially the friendly receival, the location, the 'binnensted' of Leeuwarden, the originality of the apartment, the water around, the free parking place in front of the houseboat, the relaxed Frisian people, the overall interior style (kitchen tools, towels, walls, floor, furniture in a beautiful and original design and materiality), everything we needed was there. This place is one of our best experiences (and Booking knows how many I've had!) Marian, we will come again!

The host was very nice and welcoming. Very flexible with check-in and check-out, which we appreciated. I think the house looks better in real life than on the pictures.

The shower door leaks, so a mop would be a good idea. Also the water pressure in the shower is quite low. We would have appreciated a proper sponge to clean our dishes.
