No 5 at Simpson Street Apartments Sunderland

Our host was exceptional, the property was lovely and had everything you need.

Absolutely everything perfect location

Only issue i has was that the oven trays weren’t clean but i cleaned them myself

The property was clean and comfortable with great access to the city centre

The shower was cold, rang the agent they advised it was an old property with not very good plumbing, told us to turn the shower to low which worked but was not great, modern mixer shower which we have at home, same make and model. the other hot taps worked perfectly with good pressure. Walls very thin between apartments woke up at 1am to number 4 having a raging argument then again at 7am, felt like they were in the same room so loud. Spoiled what was otherwise a great couple of days.

Location was superb. A short walk from the heart of the city. Generous amount of space over 2 floors. Quirky building with interesting history.

Double bed was small (standard size) in the large upstairs bedroom. Change this to a larger bed and it wd have really improved things.

The location of the property was fantastic for what I needed, the actual accommodation is lovely

The kitchenette facilities, the tv system, the space, the location, carpark. cleanliness of the apartment

Shower water flow, no blinds or curtains to the large windows, so no privacy or shutting out the light.

The property was beautiful, accessible, free parking and close to the city.

The pipes are overly noisy when sleeping. These can be adjusted to make them less noisy.

The apartment itself was unique and charming .

It had not been cleaned professionally. It was like left from previous guests. Crumbs all the way up the stairs and into bedroom area . Sheets were not changed , chocolate marks on sheets . Toilet, did even bother to clean. Kitchen area , dirty and crumbs across counter. Cuttlery and plates needed cleaning before use. Food left in cupboard. Gold discs everywhere on ground floor , off a Christmas that was in cupboard. Very dusty in all areas .I had to clean everywhere before partner arrived. They brought clean sheets to use. Very disappointing considering cost and over News Years. Spoke to representative, they said would look into it, but then never messaged back. I would not have put a negative review if replied with reasonable explanation .

Love this place, stayed many times would stay more often if it was a little cheaper.
