The signs everywhere about being quite after 10pm.

The nice gesture of our hosts, to give us cakes for our anniversary celebration and a well wishing card. The place is nice too, spacious and well equipped. The beds were comfy too.

We had a very bad surprise of not being able to use the washer and tumbler after 8pm. Given that the apartment is located in a place where we do a lot of outside activities (skiing, thrill rides, etc) we obviously dirty our clothes and can only wash them when we come back at the apartment, after dinner. There were sticky notes to tell us NOT to use washer/dryer after 8pm AND even NOT to walk after 10pm in the apartment. We even had one neighbor coming to tell us to cease our activities at 10:15pm. I mean, we were eating, packing for our trip back home the next day. We were not partying ! I understand that neighbors who are permanent residents may not like passing-by tenants to make their livelihoods miserable, but if walls/structures are so thin and noise-propagating that one cannot even walk after 10pm, then this place should not be rented out. Or, at least, the host should let know prospective tenant about this situation beforehand. Besides this, the place is great and the host is very nice. But to me the above is killing the comfort rating of the place.

No table at which to eat. Stools at bench were ok but a table would be nicer
