The pub had a lock in after pub hours and partied until 2am. Family couldn't sleep and we had a long drive the next day. Next morning found out we were alone in the property above the pub, there was no member of staff through the night. Tried to complain but only the chef was available who arrived at 10am.

Really friendly staff, lovely pub, good food and service. Lovely quiet location and accommodation facilities were everything we needed. Had a couple of meals downstairs in the pub which were great. Food and drinks were good prices and the staff were more than happy to help whenever we needed anything. Child friendly and very accommodating.

It was a lovely place to stay but there were a couple of safety issues which we were particularly mindful of with young children. Sockets were hanging off the wall in the room and the kitchen. Smoke detectors were not installed - the brackets were on the ceiling but there was nothing in them - we found the actual units on a shelf.

The apartment was really spacious and had a feel of home from home. As it’s above a pub the floors weren’t straight but that added to the feel of the rooms.

The only thing I didn’t like about the room was the door up the stairs to the main rooms. It was a bit low but as it’s an old pub you get used to it. It really wasn’t a major problem.

The attention to detail was perfect. All facilities you can think of. More room than expected. TV is nice and big. Love the addition of the fire in the living room. Kept whole flat heated. Bathrooms are classy and modern. Lots of cushions on sofas.

Ladybugs in the light fittings and as its an old building the up and down of stairs from bedroom to kitchen. Might be good idea to have a kettle and mini fridge in the living room area. Also recheck the food ingredients in the kitchen and some were out of date :/ like salt pepper etc. Maybe have tea coffee salt pepper sachets rather than open boxes. More hygienic.

Ideally located to visit with our daughter, walking option just across from the pub. Accommodation very cosy to sit and relax in.

Noise from downstairs bar went on until gone 1am despite opening times showing until 23:00. It was right underneath the main bedroom and meant sleep was impossible until people left. Not sure they are aware how loud it is for people staying, expected noise as it was a pub however not until that time!
