Apartament Enescu

Very close to city center (a few minutes walk) and very spacious (can accomodate 8-10 persons if needed). It has 3 bedrooms , a livingroom and a kitchen. If it would be refurbished, it would be a great accomodation option.

The apartment was in a pretty bad shape (broken windows for inner doors, many cracks in the walls, definitely needs a paining), old restrooms, old and poor quality bed sheets). On top, it was not clean (for example the refrigerator had altered leftovers inside and a very bad smell, floors were dusty, not properly vacuumed, a lot of junk stuff deposited in the balcony). Owner excused himself by saying that he can not find someone to hire for cleaning. No parking spot dedicated to the apartment, but decent options on the street close to it, after circling the block for a few times we found a place, and it was during Christmas time, so very crowded in the center. Furniture was cheap but decent in the bedrooms, but very old and in bad shape in the kitchen.

The host was very responsive and helpful. Instructions on how to get in were very clear. Everything was as shown on the pictures in booking. The place is absolutely huge, with the capacity to take in more than 12 people. The location is superb, only 3-4 minutes from the main square. The parking is public, but the host paid the zone for both of our cars, so it was really "free parking" for us, as described. Overall, we were very pleased with the place.

Minor issues. For example, there is only one bath and we were 7 people so it was not ideal :) There are 2 toilets that were very tight, which I found really strange compared to how big and vast the apartment was. It was also strange why they didn't think of a solution to make the toilets at least a little warmer - again, odd in comparison with how warm every other room was.

Location

We were horrified to see that the apartment had not been cleaned at all. There were dust balls on the floors in every room and hair everywhere. They only cleaned the toilets, but badly, there were hairs and stains on them. We asked the owner for a vacuum cleaner while we were staying there with a crawling baby and cleaned the apartment ourselves as best we could. The baby's cot was damaged, the side of it was broken. Also, the glass on the interior door was broken, and we were worried that it wouldn't fall on someone's head. We would have gone to another apartment, but there were 9 of us and we didn't have the money or time to change the location. We saw about 6-8 dead bugs about 3 cm long. In one of the drawers we found UNDERWEAR!!! We were worried about the health of our children. Also, there is no private parking. We parked on the street in a public parking lot and we were lucky because it was the weekend so we didn't have to pay for parking. The only good thing about this apartment is its proximity to the city center. Overall, this apartment ruined our stay in Timisoara. We have traveled a lot and this is our worst accommodation experience. This apartment reminds us of Tarantino's movie Four Rooms.

Everything was great. It's a huge apartment with a lot of space. It's a bit old, but old stuff represents the epoch and was a kinda interesting.

The kitchen will look better if renovated.
