The Old Chemist - Viking Bay Getaway

Nice property, above a shop so very steep stairs to get up into. Decorated nicely and not far from the beach.

Unfortunately as the property stated dogs welcome we assumed it would be dog friendly. This was not the case. We had an email after booking confirming there was a small garden, there wasn't! There wasn't anywhere nearby for our elderly dog to go to the toilet other than driving down to the beach area everytime! We contacted the host who wanted proof of the email which we sent and she didn't seem bothered! We ended up only staying one night. Such a shame.

The apartment was so clean and felt so homely. Such a great location as well! Felt very at home

Parking was a little bit of an issue due to it being busy in broadstairs we had to park a little bit away so just be prepared for this if you stay. It would not defer me from staying again however!

Nicely fitted out and comfortable. Two minor issues - blind slat was broken in main bedroom which was a tad disconcerting as bust restaurant opposite. Heating set to 12 so really unwelcoming when we arrived on a cold Jan weekend. Can housekeepers adjust based on weather forecast?

The house was spacious and attractively decorated. Facilities were clean and of a high standard. The location was perfect, very close to the bay and also the high street. we had a lovely trip.

Its perfectly located within a few minutes walk to the beach, restaurants and shops which is what we loved! The property was beautiful, cosy, clean and the facilities were excellent. It had everything you needed in a home away from home. The kitchen had everything we needed and everything was clean and ready to use. We loved that it had a landing where you can leave your shoes and jackets etc before going up the 1st floor. The rooms were spacious and had lots of storage. They were clean and well presented.

Theres isnt a thing that we didnt like in the property! The only thing we could say is that if the property had baby gates that we could put in to stop our 3years old running up and down the stairs, this accomodation would be 11 out of 10 stars!
