The Shepherd's Lodge

It was very comfortable place to stay extremely quiet and relaxing very clean. Lovely comfy bed we loved it. 

The shower was a little weak, and it would’ve been nice if we had milk to go with the tea when we arrived after a long journey

Great location, fab for attending a wedding at The Millhouse, Slane. The host was very welcoming. There was a folder with info about the local area. The place was warm and dry. Comfy bed. The internet access was terrific. We also had access to tea and a coffee maker.

An overall lovely property. But there could have been more information about the property itself. There are a lot of switches about the place. I’m not usual bamboozled by such things, but as a tired new parent a bit of labelling wouldn’t go amiss. The fridge was soaking wet when we arrived due to defrosting after being switched off at the wall. The shower also needed to be reset to a lower temperature for each shower or it wouldn’t turn back on again. Exiting the property took a hot minute, we played a bit of guess work to get the gates open and had to punch in the code through the gate - very secure but tricky when you’re trying to leave in the pouring rain! Just a bit of info about the above would have been helpful.

Absolutely spotless and lovely home! You couldn’t find nicer accommodation!

Self catering

Arrived late at night, would have been lovely to have coffee/ tea & small snacks available. However there was two bottles of water in fridge. Water pressure in shower wasn’t great.

Very quiet rural area, peaceful and the host was a gentleman.

The only bugbear is that Slane isn't always easy to get taxis in or to, that being said, if you've your own vehicle and/or a designated driver, it's a perfect location.

Super charming little house with all mod cons. Located in a serene surrounding and close by to both small and larger cities with a car. The host is great and very easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay again.

The host was so so lovely. Spoke to us to offer advice and directions. Just a lovely chap.

It was all amazing.

Location was perfect for a quiet night after our long flight from California. Very close to Bru na Boinne and Battle of the Boyne visitor centre. Very friendly host Daniel.
