Beautifully decorated, elegant apartment near town - Pass the Keys

This place is so quiet and peaceful close to all amenities and the little touches that the owner has added is exceptional you would not get this in a 5 star hotel highly recommend…… 10/10

The whole experience

For me personally the pillows were too thick and mattress a little soft The system setup for tap hot water was not efficient

garden was over grown so couldn't use and entrance to apartment not very attractive obviously renovations on the go

Location absolutely perfect, 1st class , just on the outskirts of the town centre , very quiet as the apartment overlooks the garden. This is a beautiful studio apartment, tastefully decorated, well equipped and well stocked with essentials including emergency toiletries , Suzanne(the property owner) has thought of everything in this compact apartment. The toiletries provided are high quality (L'Occitane Shower Gel, Shampoo and Conditioner, Cow Shed Hand Wash and Hand Moisturiser). High quality tea and coffee, lovely choice of jams and croissants, milk and Tropicana Orange juice in the fridge on arrival. Lovely selection of magazines ,books and information on the local area provided. Everything easy to find. Lovely shower- nice and warm. There was a minor issue in the morning, Suzanne was available by phone and we resolved it quickly. Suzanne was also really helpful before we arrived - texting us to let us know when the apartment was ready and providing clear instructions on how to find the apartment and the parking onsite at the back of the apartment which we found easily and without issue.

These are minor points and could have been addressed if I had read the information closer however worth pointing out to inform your choice in terms of booking the right property for your needs. There is no TV/Radio - I hadn't noted this when I booked it - I do feel it may be helpful to put in an Alexa as this could help as the apartment was very quiet - it's a really old building so you can hear things but it adds to the ambience of the accommodation and we got used to having no TV/Radio quickly as we made the most of our time in Shrewsbury and were simply exhausted when we got back to our accommodation. ( You could also bring your own radio/alexa next time). Don't think the apartment would suit someone with accessibility/mobility requirements as it is up 2 flights of stairs (no lift) The sash windows were difficult to open - so I gave up - the owner does point this out in the accommodation instructions and to be fair I have dexterity issues. However I would have liked to have been able to open them a little overnight and in the morning to air the living space etc..... This isn't an issue more interesting to note - it's a studio apartment therefore it has a small bathroom built in to the space which requires a macerator toilet which means you have to be careful what you flush down the loo and should only use toilet roll provided- it's quite a noisy flush . The hot water tap in the bathroom isn't clearly marked hot /cold and it took initially a while how to fathom out how it works as it's a mixer tap with an interesting design , once you work it out it's fine. (Not a complaint just an observation). The towels are all white, which isn't an ideal colour as it has the potential to stain easier (with make-up etc...) - so I would rather bring my own towels next time to avoid this issue although it can't be much of an issue for most people as she would have changed the colour of the towels provided.
