The owners are very helpful and responded very quickly to any question we had during our stay. The apartment is as beautiful as advertised, with tea, coffee and biscuits to welcome you. Plenty of brilliant restaurants right on your doorstep, plus Co-op is right across the road. We spent most of the time on the beach which was just under 20 mins from the flat.

I feel bad saying anything negative as the owners are truly lovely and can't do enough for you. However, all of the below is beyond their reach, just to warn you if any of these issues might affect your stay (and potentially give a bad review) - smell of weed from the other flats (very strong in the evening) - outside/fire exit metal staircase getting in and out of the flat. It made me and my daughter so dizzy, I was dreading it each time we had to leave or go back up. It's only 3 or 4 floors up so not the end of the world to most people. I am glad my parents weren't coming as there is no way my mum would have been able to use those stairs. There should be a photograph of it as the current photo of the back is not showing you what it looks like. We were slightly shocked when we saw the building from the back, maybe I'm just a snob scared of heights ;)

The bathtub with water jet is probably the only good thing to be highlighted here. Everything else is just average. Ours was a last min booking, but the house was kept neat and ready for occupancy.

The way to get into the apartment via the metal stairs or via the other main entrance is disgusting to the least, with wastes and pigeon poos and wat not. The entry and exits almost spoiled our holidays. Yucky. Even the stairs inside the building upto the apartment were filthy with remains of food, packets, cans etc. Inside the apartment, the carpets are not in greatest conditions, n neither are the sofas which were worn out with cracks on the leather etc. No wonder there are no pictures of the house or the entrance or outside of the building. The kitchen was clean with all necessary cleaning items provided. The non stick pans were all scratched and oven glass wares required more cleaning n scrubbing. Bedrooms clean and bedding clean. But as in other reviews, quite noisy at night. Slightest sounds outside is highly audible inside. Kids were disturbed through the night. Expensive for wat it is. We are probably never returning. The hosts were responsive except initially when we had bit of a trouble with codes etc. But we managed in the end. Every time after, the hosts responded pretty quickly, so can't complain there.

Comfy bed, hammock a nice touch, bath also a nice feature.

Few maintenance issues found during our stay, tap was really wobbly and felt like it was going to break, awkward to use, handle on bathroom door needs replacing, shower wasn't cleaned to a good standard, kitchen was filthy when we arrived and everything in the kitchen needed cleaning prior to use. This had clearly been missed by the cleaners as it was disgusting and obviously very disappointing to find. Birds mess on the window in the living room for the entire stay, not very pleasant. Floor squeaking while moving around the apartment gets annoying after a while too.

The bathroom was very nice. The correspondence was good prior to our visit.

Very disappointed with our stay here, consequently we left after one night rather than stay for 2. There are so many negatives, but here goes… Firstly the instructions re getting the key from the lock box and then entering the flat were quite lengthy! We had to climb up to the 3rd floor in the rain via a metal external fire escape to the first door. Then could get the key from a lock box to enter the flat. Fortunately there is another interior staircase once in the building! We then had to go back to the car to move to nearby car park (which was complementary) To get back to our room, we had to lug 3 suitcases up the 3 flights of narrow stairs, one of which is actually outside, and this was via a dirty tiny alley way. (The lighting was not working for most of this, so dangerous in the dark) The flat itself was just about adequate and generally clean, and fully equipped. However, the carpet had quite a few marks on it including a big iron burn in the bedroom. We found the crockery, glasses and cutlery were very grubby and had to be washed prior to use. It was a nice touch to leave us T towel for drying up, but this was so dirty, we didn’t use it. Thankful they had provided some kitchen roll. The window blinds in the living room were broken and couldn’t be closed fully. We followed instructions re overriding the central heating as my 89 year old mum was cold, but this did not work. ( and yes the 89 year old had to climb all those stairs!) the fact that the flat is 3rd floor with no lift is not apparent on the booking info until you really look into it in great depth. One of the single beds is actually just a very low put you up and the mattress overhangs the end. The other beds were quite comfortable. I would definitely not stay there again or in that particular area either.

Located a short walk from the beach front at Bournemouth, and there is parking in a multi-storey just a minute's walk provided by the hosts. Entry instructions were exceptional. You have to climb three flights of stairs to reach the flat, but once you're there it's worth it. The place is exceptional. Our youngest really enjoyed the swing chair in the lounge, and the TV in the bath (it's the longest they've ever spent in the bath!). Beds were super comfortable and the kitchen has everything you can need. Would highly recommend.

The outside surroundings of the building is a little tired, but there's nothing the hosts can really do about this. Plus you soon forget about this once the front door is closed. Noise from the road (crossing lights beeping) can be a bit much but I'm a deep sleeper, so once I had nodded off it was fine!
