Beautiful AlumPointe Apartment - 400m to the beach

Clean and well decorated. Thoughtful touches with decor and everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was spacious with rainfall walk-in shower. Great location - quiet and only a short walk to the beach.

Bedroom window was locked and there was no key, as was kitchen window. Requested a replacement key on arrival. Received a quick reply ‘we will look into it’ but despite reminders, a key never arrived. This made sleeping in the hot weather very uncomfortable. In addition an open storage space in the bedroom which had a movement sensitive light, triggered by movement during the night (no way to turn it off) - with both of these issues, very little sleep in the small room (which would be very cramped for two people!). In the main bedroom, there was no storage (drawers, shelves or wardrobe, not even a hanging rail). All that was provided was an ikea vegetable rack/office storage rack (see pic) - had to leave clothes on window ledges which is not such an issue for an overnight break but would be a problem for longer stays. Also note that the advertised ‘streaming service available, like Netflix’ requires guests to pay for a subscription, which I found misleading in the ad. Standard smart TVs with free view provided in all rooms.

The location is good for the local beach. The living area is spacious.

The master bed had unclean bed linen, covered in hairs, which was discovered when going to bed at 11.30 pm. This meant we had to search for a shop that was open to buy new bedlinen at midnight! When I informed the host, they offered to cover the cost of the bed linen without any acknowledgment of the repulsion that we experienced on discovering this and the inconvenience of it ruining our first night. They refused to reimburse us for the first night’s stay and after much to-ing and fro-ing, offered us a mere £75 of a £250/night cost. Aside from the bedlinen, the rug in the living room had long black hairs on it and the sofa smelled unfresh so we had to buy Febreze to mask the smell. Annoyingly, the 4 chairs don’t fit under the dining table so 4 people can’t sit with their legs under the table. There were only 4 pieces of crockery and glassware so required a lot of washing up each time as it wasn’t worth using the dishwasher. It would have been nice to have spare crockery.

Die Unterkunft war wirklich gut, vor allem die Lage war absolut fantastisch. Da 5 Minuten bis zum wunderschönen Strand und 5 Minuten mit dem Auto zur Innenstadt. Ein wenig schade ist, dass die Wohnung keine Klimaanlage hat beziehungsweise die sonnenzugewandte Hausseite im Wohnzimmerbereich keinerlei Abschattung. Das sollte man zumindest in den Sommermonaten dringend ändern, ansonsten eine perfekte Wohnung.

Have stayed at this property before, we like the design and cleanliness of property as well as location. Also the easy check-in.

Spacious, bright, clean, great communication, easy entry, fab location, entrance to flat nice, comfy beds, very well stocked modern kitchen, nice open plan main room

Very small things.. Minor annoyance of the automatic light in the second bedroom wardrobe, if you put a curtain across the wardrobe that would stop it coming on when asleep. Some milk would be great so can make a cuppa when arrive. A door mat so not immediately onto a light grey carpet would stopped me stressing about kids putting a foot in the door before taking shoes off.
