Carvetii - Edward House D - 2 Dbl bed 2nd floor flat

Perfect location, close to public transport and the town centre. Lots of local amenities within walking distance. The beds were comfortable. Had everything in the apartment that we needed and extra that we didn't need for this trip but would absolutely come in handy for a longer stay, such as a washing machine. Overall was clean and tidy, just felt a bit tired in places that would have benefited from a lick of paint to freshen it up. We were a group of 4. 2 adults and 2 teens. Was great for the couple of nights stay, just the lounge was a little small if we were to be staying any longer, this would have felt a little cramped. But overall was prefect for what we needed. I really liked the detailed instructions we received leading up to checking in.

A 6pm check in was a bit late really. When we had travelled 5 hours, we really wanted to just be able to get in and settle.

The apartment is very well located, has natural light, is a nice place to stay for a few days.

However, it lacks basic things and some defects such as: Hanger at the entrance for coats and jackets Paellas and saucepans are super old, they should all be changed. The kitchen knives do not cut and there are no scissors There are no savings to avoid burning the table, which was already burned. It would be ideal if, for 4 people, there were 2 rolls of toilet paper and a roll of kitchen paper as a welcome. On the other hand, coffee, tea and sugar are appreciated. And perhaps most importantly, in an apartment for 4 people there is only one bench so that 2 people can eat at the table. And a detail that surprised us as soon as we arrived and that generated some concern was that a door in one room had a broken handle; if they hadn't given them time to fix it, they should have warned us. All this in a constructive spirit, because I insist, we've been not too bad.

Location out of Edinburgh but with good rail link was ideal for our stay and much cheaper than staying centrally. Good basic facilities and local amenities. Public parking very close by at a reasonable price. Support from host was excellent.

Quick and Easy

Einfache Unterkunft für maximal 4 Personen. Der Parkplatz ist ein wenig weiter zu gehen, zumindest haben wir keinen anderen gefunden. Die Wohnung selbst ist einfach, hat zwei abgeschlossene Schlafzimmer und eine Küche, dazu ein Badezimmer. In der Küche war alles da, was man so braucht. Für einen unkomplizierten Trip mit Freunden absolut in Ordnung. Pubs und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind fußläufig erreichbar.

Eine Warnung bzgl. des Feuermelders wäre toll, der in der Küche springt beim Kochen gerne an (zu nah angebracht).

Zuwenig Geschirr für 3 Erwachsene. Nur ein kleiner Kochtopf. Die Pfannen total verdreckt, mußten vor Benutzung gründlich gereinigt werden. Keine zusammenpassenden Teller.

Broken door in bedroom and low ceilings should be painted another colour to avoid head hitting!
