Unfortunately, cold shower on the second morning.

The location is truly beautiful, peaceful with stunning views, ideal for a relaxing escape.

We were very disappointed by the lack of service. We arrived at midnight and had to find our way to the room completely alone only through a WhatsApp message instructions, with no staff or security on site, which felt unsafe and stressful, especially on a remotely deserted estate. The room was cold, the heater insufficient for the space, and no slippers were provided for the chilly tiled floor. Breakfast was delivered to the room with no explanation, and the room was never cleaned during our stay. There was no reception or staff presence even the next morning on a Monday. Check-out was also confusing, we only found out how to return the keys by asking a cleaner.

Everything Loved the ginormous bed and spa bath. Lovely fireplace.. Liked the privacy.

What an exceptional spot. The value for money is out of this world. My wife and I were on our babymoon and this spot ticked all the boxes. Highly recommend a little walk around the property which is exquisite. You are close enough to Franschhoek without that extra hustle and bustle, plus some of the spots in town deliver so you can enjoy the spot without leaving if you so wish. Pro Tip is to light the fire in the hot tub the moment you arrive as it takes 90min + to get up to temperature.

I was disappointed that security (alarm was required) - I had assumed that it was on a secure estate. I found the layout and decor fine, but not great for the price.
