"Lousy homestay and bad platform booking.com,booking.com “ the non refundable policy “has loopholes"

Fxck it , **"Please compare the property's advertised photos with the reality of my stay. Many critical issues like crawling cockroaches and broken appliances couldn't be properly shown in still photos - they needed to be seen in video, which unfortunately can't be uploaded here. This is the worst experience I met! To someone who wish to stay here,please consider repeatly or ask the host to give the latest photos to avoid scam like us facing. If wish me to giving video or voice record I can show to you too. Call 0129016551 to comfirm and get the latest photos before stay! Must remember,this is a non refundable homestay with any reason!!!!!! Even not your fault!

First, we booked a two-night stay. My family and I checked in late on the first night, and as soon as we entered, we saw cockroaches—big and small—crawling out of the kitchen. Since it was midnight and we had elderly and young children with us, we had no choice but to stay temporarily because we couldn’t find another place to go. We immediately contacted the property manager and explained how terrible the conditions were—many things were either broken or filthy. The manager claimed they had cleaned the place and that the cockroaches only came out at night, so there was 'nothing they could do.'** **With children in tow, the filthy environment made it impossible for us to stay. So, we requested a refund for the second night’s stay plus the cleaning fee, but the host refused, citing that our booking was 'non-refundable.' Even though the actual property didn’t match the photos or description, they still wouldn’t refund us. How ridiculous! Worst of all, Booking.com was complicit in this scam. On the second morning, we called customer service (an Indian agent) and were told that if we were unhappy, we could get a refund for the second night—or even a full refund—given the awful conditions. But when we followed up, a Chinese agent suddenly said they couldn’t do anything if the host refused. Seriously? A platform can’t even withhold payment from a problematic host? They just let the host dictate everything! A third call, this time with a Malaysian agent, ended after nearly two hours with them offering only a 15% credit. They claimed the first agent’s promise was a 'mistake' and that she 'wasn’t properly trained.' I’ve never encountered such an unreliable platform in my life. This is the worst homestay that couldn’t even meet the most basic standards of cleanliness and functioning facilities, yet it cost nearly RM1,000 for two nights.

"Worst experience in 1 year of south east Asia!!!!"

The apartment was full of mold, garbage, dust and it had an awful smell. We couldn’t even sleep there. It took us several hours to communicate with the host, he refused our refund. We had to call support and wait for several more hours. The apartment is different from the photos, no ac, no WiFi, not clean. BE AWARE - you will need a private taxi which will not come in day time, we had to walk for 2 hours from accommodation to the bus station. From the bus station to accommodation we paid 200 MYR for a taxi. (PLEASE TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION, I asked the owner if he can help us with pick up or any taxi contact and he refused) I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENT.
