The pictures really don't do the place justice! Everything looks a bit old in the pics, but in reality it's just the style and everything is very new. This place simply has everything you might need! Heated pool: check. Fridge full of drinks (incl. Beer) and food you can take whenever you want: check. Exercise mats for a yoga session on the beautiful rooftop terrace: check. Fully equipped kitchen and all the fruit and veggies you might need: Just take it. Huge room with a big and comfortable bed: check. And the location is super central as well, 5-10m walk to the Zocalo. We felt very much at home here and would come back any time!

The reception is only staffed intermittently, so despite letting them know our arrival time in advance, we had to wait 20m in the heat outside on the street with our suitcases while waiting for someone to come. It would be a very easy fix to just send the door access code in advance, which would be my only constructive feedback to the owners.

Exactly as advertised! Beautifully clean and spacious hotel rooms and fantastic communal spaces. We loved sitting by the pool and snacking from the fridge!

This is not a fault of the hotel but there is some noise from the street overnight (cars, trucks etc). Would recommend earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Absolutely wonderful stay in Oaxaca close to the Centro. The property is beautiful and includes anything you could possibly need. Will definitely stay here again in our next visit! Thank you for looking after us in beautiful Oaxaca.

What a beautiful place! Everything was perfect and everyone is super nice! Rooms are spotless, water pressure is super good and always warm. I will definitely will be coming back.

Beautiful casa/apartments that created a sense of community during breakfast when we were able to meet other guests. We absolutely loved the pool with salt water, especially with the hot weather in Oaxaca City. The apartment was cleaned daily. The queen-sized beds were super comfortable as well as the design of the apartment. We were particularly happy with the large bathroom, and quality towels. Since we are very concerned about conservation, we applaud Hector, the owner & host for having water coolers on each floor for guests to refill their thermos and water pitchers in the apartments. This is very much appreciated. Breakfast was included. We tended to only eat a bit of the pastries, coffee, and some fruits, but guests had access to eggs, various breads, avocados, etc. The items are set for community use as a self-serve. The building and apartments are beautiful, well-designed. Hector has a definitive decorative style and high standards of cleanliness. His manners reflect the highest level of Mexican culture. I can't say enough of the excellent staff especially Martin, who seems to be Hector's right-hand person. Martin was incredibly helpful throughout our week's stay. We rented a car for a day, which was okay, but at the end of the day, there wasn't any public or private parking available due to a major festival in July, as well as many streets were closed off. I called Hector for advise. He offered to call his neighbor across the street to ask if I could park in her spot for 45 minutes until I could reach the car agency after the streets opened up again. I was going to try to reach the agency, but a car moved from a legal parking space. Martin made sure I parked there, all night. He gave me loads of support because he knew how stressful the entire parking situation had been for us. I highly recommend Casa Pinar. Walking distance to all city center locations. They called taxis for airport transport.

This place is a hidden gem. Wonderful all around. We will tell our friends and stay here again as a first choice.

There is nothing to not like about this place, the location is excellent, the rooms are spacious, well appointed and comfortable, and the generosity of the hosts shown through the fully stocked pantry and fridge is unlike anything I have seen before.

Everything! Hector and Martin were so welcoming and helpful. It is a beautiful hotel with spacious rooms and very comfortable beds. We especially loved the outdoor kitchen/pool area with coffee, breakfast, and a fridge stocked with snacks and beer. Great safe, central location. We walked everywhere. We will definitely be staying here the next time we're in Oaxaca!

Amenities were some of the best I’ve ever experienced !! On top of the level of service given, the staff went above and beyond - the pool was beautiful & the rooms were immaculately clean - thanks for an amazing stay - in such a beautiful area of Oaxaca City - the Canadian girls

What a gem! Perfectly located in El Centro, this boutique hotel was ideal. Very clean and well taken care of. To my surprise, there is a great outdoor kitchen with a communal table for free breakfast next to the pool. Each of the rooms a a self contained equipped kitchen too where one can make their own food. Hector, the owner, is a wonderful man; very friendly and attentive. His assistant, Martin, also very friendly and quietly takes care of all your needs.
