La Casa de Pino

Where do I start!...We (myself and my mother) LOVED this stay. I don't want to write a review in case it's fully booked when I want to return! Ha! Seriously though, we can't speak highly enough of La Casa de Pino. It is extremely clean and like a home from home. Our room/mini apartment was a great size (larger than expected) fully equipped and the beds were SO big and comfortable. Hector (the owner) was amazing, so helpful, friendly, welcoming and we can't speak highly enough of the way he runs La Casa. Martin and the rest of the staff were also great and always willing to assist and help you with anything. Communal areas are extremely clean and well kept. Pool and kitchen area is great. Lovely to sort out some breakfast in the morning and to meet other people staying there. Breakfast isn't advertised but the kitchen/communal area downstairs is fully equipped and stocked. Bonus having free beers and mezcal to enjoy by the pool. There are water stations around the establishment and a good roof terrace area. The main building and rooms work on a code basis which works really well. Hector and Martin kindly sorted out getting some of our laundry done for us before we continued our travels. Location was great, with lots of restaurants etc around and it's only about a 10/15 min walk to the main street and Zocalo. I could go on and on. This place is THE BEST! Thank you for an amazing and welcoming stay and for putting up with my broken Spanish! I definitely would love to come back and stay in the near future.

Casa de Pino is an absolutely beautiful property in the heart of Oaxaca. Hector and his staff ensured that our stay with them was exceptional. Comfortable beds, well stocked pantry in the common area and we truly enjoyed every minute of our stay. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. This was our second time at Casa de Pino and will come back again without question.

My room was spacious and spotless. Great internet. The hotel provides a common kitchen and pool area for guests with a well stocked refrigerator. You can make coffee and a nice breakfast and grab a snack or beer in the afternoon. I swam almost everyday and really enjoyed that. The roof top terrace is glorious! Great view and sunsets. The staff at Casa de Pino are exceptional. Very helpful with so many things that made my stay so great. They facilitated getting laundry done, helped me arrange for tours and taxis. They helped my friend get an amazing cooking class. The other guests were great too. Met many interesting people. Oaxaca is a special place and Casa de Pino is superb. The location is ideal. I will definitely be going back!

Nothing. Casa de Pino is excellent.

The hotel is quiet, secure, and extremely clean. The hosts are friendly, helpful and available. Our room had a kitchenette and the room and bathroom were spacious. It was so nice to have snacks, drinks and cold purified water available to us throughout our stay.

The rooms are very clean and spacious. It is very comfortable and well organized. Sr Hector and Martin go above and beyond to make your stay a great experience. Best place ever

A fabulous place to stay, looks tiny from the outside but big, airy and beautifully cool inside. Hector and Martin are wonderful hosts, very helpful and they have thought of everything. Rooms are large, very clean and very well equipped including a kitchen area. Communal kitchen great too. Nice pool for relaxing and also rooftop terrace to watch the sun go down with a beer (from the well stocked kitchen fridge!). Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

The warmth, friendliness, and graciousness of host Hector and his associateMartin were the best I have ever encountered in all my travels (and I travel a lot for work in the USA). In fact, I am planning to stay in this hotel again when I return to Oaxaca for another vacation next year. Being able to use the fully-equipped hotel kitchen was a real plus as it permitted my son (a resident of Oaxaca) to cook wonderful meals for me.

The only thing that was a minor inconvenience was the lack of parking availability during week days on the street in front of the hotel, but this is true of almost all hotels in Oaxaca.
