The host provided good directions on Whatsapp prior to our stay and communicated well throughout the stay. However, we received a Whatsapp message with a picture of several discaded food iterms in the trash (they were available in the apartment for a fee) that we did not eat. He then asked for us to pay for them and provided us a PayPal address. Not sure if it was the cleaning staff who did this or the host, but I wanted to mention it here for any future guests to be aware of.

Felipe tirelessly made an effort to keep us confortable and feeling at home. the apt was clean and quite, very close to the airport.

As long as you want a clean and comfortable place to stay and don't need elegance, this was a great alternative to the big hotels near the airport. If you have only carry-on bags, you can walk down a (crowded) short street, walk three flights of stairs up to an overpass, and be inside airport Terminal 1 within the seven minutes listed. (You'll enter next to a number of airport restaurants -- which may be a better choice than the restaurants on streets around the apartment.) It's not quite as convenient as the capsule hotel in the terminal, and if you have heavy bags you'll probably want to take a cab/Uber to the airport, but it's so much nicer and more private that I'll never stay at Izzzleep again if I can avoid it! The owner is friendly and helpful. He speaks little English, but the instructions he sent by WhatsApp were good. (If you don't have WhatsApp, I suggest getting it -- though be aware of its privacy issues. Many people in Mexico use WhatsApp instead of a phone number.) The apartment is well-designed, with a number of comfortable places to sit... there's a fridge/freezer and a microwave... there's even a pull-out line for drying clothes! The king-size bed (in the larger bedroom) was very comfortable... I didn't check the smaller bedroom. The shower isn't strong but it's hot... there's a dedicated on-demand water heater 24 hours/day. The owner told me that the dog on the roof might bark sometimes, but it didn't bark anytime that I heard except as I was entering/leaving the apartment. The WiFi wasn't super-fast but it was adequate for email and web browsing. I was awake for a number of hours, but I only heard an airplane once. Although the street and neighborhood may look a bit scary if you aren't used to Mexico, the apartment has good security behind two locked steel doors (to the street and to the room). The owner lives in the apartment 10 or 15 meters away from this one.

The smaller of the two bedrooms has an on-demand water heater that pops on when someone turns on the hot water in the bathroom. If someone is sleeping in that small bedroom, you might want to avoid using hot water then.
