Host Stay The Avenue Victoria Apartment

Beautiful modern apartment with modern fixtures and fittings. Lovely location near the sea. Spacious rooms Loved the window seat where you can spy the sea. The guide to the apartment was very helpful and answered any questions I had. The owner is very responsive. It is by far the best apartment we have ever stayed in.

Sofas are uncomfortable which is unfortunate as we love to lounge and watch tv of an evening.

The apartment was beautiful, set out nicely and very homely. For this we would return.

There wasn’t anything wrong with the property, other than a neighbour sending a complaint to the Host which was late at night about my Mother having her cigarette on the balcony/fire exit When the property didn’t say, no smoking was allowed on this balcony. I would recommend a notice that you’re not allowed to instead of messaging at 11 pm

There was nothing to dislike. Very clean and modern. Amazing location. Made us fall in love with Scarborough again. The apartment is worth the price paid to stay.

The £250 damage deposit / £25 waiver fee should be mentioned when booking and not afterwards. Not everyone has £250 they can have put on hold, or wants to pay £25 for a damage waiver- when they have just paid for the trip and it hasn't been included/mentioned.

Great location, lovely comfy flat, good layout. Kitchen equipment OK. Good parking. Clean.

Some may struggle with 3 flights stairs,

The apartment was clean and well stocked with all the essentials you need. The location was great. The apartment is stylish and well furnished. The dining area and kitchen are particularly lovely.

The bathroom is very small and tight to navigate with children. The sofas aren't the most comfortable for long periods of time. The stairs are steep and narrow which could be difficult for some people and carrying luggage up to the top flat was a lot. A lack of accessible plugs in the bedroom.

We won't use Host & Stay again. They have a rapacious business model. They took our £250 deposit on 1 October and it was 24 October when we got it back. Moreover they (outrageously) charged us £10 for not insuring against loss of the deposit (which would have cost £25). They also failed to get back to us in response to a pre-trip query about whether there was a cafetiere in the flat.
