Pine cottage with private hot tub

Close to Alton towers. Very lovely property, finished to a high standard. Very clean throughout. Fab private hot tub. Would visit again.

Very bumpy, uneven road up to the property full of pot holes. Could hear guests above us. Fairy liquid provided but no sponges etc to wash dishes with. We still had a wonderful stay despite these very minor issues.

How remote it was, how close it was to many walking trails. Use of the hot tub and wifi Immaculately clean and well presented.

Would have liked to have had use of the hot tub freely without time restrictions. We rushed out to have a meal with enough time to come back and use the Hot tub before we had to be out of it. The couple staying above us were up at 6:15am extremely loud and not discreet for a Sunday morning, not the hosts fault it’s a shame people don’t have the consideration for other guests.

Sitting in a hot tub with a brolley, maybe a little gazebo would be ideal .

The cottage was in a perfect location for us to hike. The instructions to find it were great, the cottage had everything we needed for a cosy peaceful night.

Way too many rules. There is nothing more off putting than being sent a message full of rules before arriving, and then finding 4 more signs inside and outside the cottage plastered on the door, walls and kitchen surfaces with more lists of rules, and then also being messaged a day before departure of even more rules. The check in is a 2 hour window, which I’m not really sure why as it’s a key in a box. We are nurses who work 13 hour shifts, so couldn’t get there until 7. This wasn’t allowed apparently so we lost money as we couldn’t work the shifts. We came away to relax and chill out. Felt like we couldn’t do that as we felt worried to even leave a crumb on the sofa in case we got charged (we were reminded on all of the signs that if we didn’t stick to the rules, we would get charged) Also, wifi does not work AT ALL, the tv in the bedroom had no signal so didn’t work at all. It’s such a shame as the cottage is actually really nice and cozy and the hot tub is lovely and the location is gorgeous.

For us, it's a lovely apartment (bottom half of a cottage). Nice clean kitchen and bathroom and comfy beds. Hot tubs great and is the reason we use the cottage.

There was no WiFi the whole time we were there. Apparently it was due to the weather. It was very disappointing for my disabled son, who relies on it, so we had to leave a day early. There's no mobile phone signal either for O2.

Pine cottage is the perfect getaway. It’s like home from home, not only this it has the most beautiful views. Everything is detailed perfectly and easy to use. Will definitely be coming back for another getaway!!

No service and WiFi would not connect. Not an overall issue for myself however those who needed to contact family could not use their phones.

The cottage itself was clean and off an excellent standard.

The road to the property was terrible. We considered turning around as we believed the holes and width of the road may lead to damage to the car. The hot tub was only available for 6 hours during the stay which was not mentioned. You could check in from 16:00 but the hot tub was only available until 10pm and you could not use it the following morning before 10am which is when you had to depart. We had an issue with gaining access to the cottage as the number to the key lock was wrong. We had to then tried two ways off contacting the owner - the message didn’t work and the phone call went to an automated answer machine. We had to wait 25mins before we got an update with the correct number.
