Pine cottage with private hot tub

Lovely little place to stay to have a catch up with friends. The location was super rural - the drive in was interesting - it was quite foogy over the hills! It was very peaceful. The place was very clean, the facilities were good. It was very comfortable. The hot tub was fabulous. Would be happy to stay here again.

The check in-check out times were a bit tight. After 4pm means it was more or less going dark when we arrived, check out before 10am. It just makes it feel very rushed if you are only staying for one night. There were signs asking to strip the beds and take the rubbish out etc which just added to rush of an early morning check out. Also I couldn't find the recycling bin. I asked for a later check out time but got no reply. Otherwise the place was amazing.

The check in time is too late 4pm and check out time of 10am is too early especially for a family. It felt like out stay was cut short and at the price it is to stay we couldn’t pay the extra £20 to check in at 2pm

Read previous reviews before booking. Track to the property is terrible, with very deep pot holes. Fortunately we had an SUV type vehicle, but if you have a normal saloon type car or low profile suspension one beware, you will definitely scrape the underside of your car and risk damage. No hot water or heating for the first 24 hours of our 2 night stay. Reported to owners when we arrived. No response until the following day. Then were told we can't fix it, a plumber has been called. Also told we don't have a 24 hour reception, which appears to be their standard response to most queries. Also note that this property is not a cottage. It is a ground floor in a barn conversion. Constant noise from the upstairs property. Had the owners responded to the notification of no hot water and heating at the time and shown a little more concern then we would have left a more positive review.
