The garden was beautiful View of the mountain was spectacular

Road access requires a 4x4 vehicle Furniture old and grubby. Overall dirty and unkempt. Thank goodness we only spent 1 night

The property's location was perfect. It was so peaceful with magnificent views and a gorgeous trail through the forest, along a little river. The host was friendly and helpful. The facilities were more than we needed, and the indoor fireplace was a bonus.

There was nothing to dislike. The location is perfect, the facilities are fantastic and it was an overall wonderful stay. The gardens and views were a photographers dream!

"No hot water"

Beautiful area. Interior is reminiscent of colonial times.

Shower did not produce any hot water. Had 2 ice cold unpleasant showers. Not acceptable for this establishment to advertise on Booking.com. You can get away with many things but a functional bathroom is not negotiable.

The location and absolute serenity of Hornbill Forest Cottages were exceptional. The hosts, Richard and Sigrid, were unbelievably friendly, and we had long chats on the sprawling, vast lawns, overlooking the forest.
