Awesome view. Electric blankets were a lifesaver, we visited in winter.

Needs a smoking bucket or ashtray outside

Quiet and secluded. Peaceful

The road from the town was terrible, full of holes and narrow. Long grass too close to edge of road., making it difficult to duck and dive the holes. South Africa taxes the fuel, but never uses it to fix the roads

The setting at the base of the Amatole mountains on the river is very special.

The shower and kettle were problematic.

The view and picnic spot was the highlight for me

The road to the cottages is not user friendly, needs work on it

Gorgeous cottage with an amazing host. It had been raining for weeks leading up to our stay and the gravel roads leading up to the property were in horrible condition. The host called us to ensure we take a different route to what maps suggested and stayed on the phone to ensure we’d get there safely. The VIEW when we got there!! Totally worth driving up wet gravel roads. There was a fire place to keep us warm, electric blankets and all other amenities one can think of.
