Host & Stay - South Cliff Apartment

The location was perfect, a nice walk into Scarborough. A clean and very well presented apartment.

We cannot fault it at all.

Very tidy and clean. Everything you need for a short holiday is there. We loved the high ceiling as well. Very close to the beach. Quiet area. Staff were prompt to reply. Not really a concern but it'd be great to have a high chair for toddlers. Everything's perfect for us though.

Close to sea front, exceptionally clean.

Key holders by front door don’t have an apartment number on them so you don’t know which one to try and access, in addition, it took numerous attempts to get the thing open!

Good location, good layout

The last minute accident insurance farce that is mandatory to pay or else you won't be going on your trip, also the way it was messaged as a form to fill out to make your stay more better. And I still can't find any mention of that in the T and C, and that's with me looking for it. It wasn't so much the amount, just the way it was forced on you.

Fabulous apartment, clean and bright, really comfortable and quiet.location

We loved the fact that the property was spacious, clean and in a fantastic location. There was parking all the time, literally right outside the door and it was free. We took our dog and had no problem walking her in the area, there was a garden opposite the property for quick morning and evening walks, and transport down to the beachfront if we wanted to take her down there for a nice long walk along the promenade.

The only issue we had was a lack of hot water on one of the nights. Despite following the hosts written instructions on how to heat the boiler if required, it didn't seem to work and we ended up having cold showers which isn't great after a long day at the beach. It's understandable that water is on a timer due to energy savings, but it's worth bearing in mind that when people are on holiday they often need two showers a day after beach activities.

The apartment was a great size with a lovely, spacious living room and kitchen. The bedrooms were extremely comfortable and we had everything we needed. The bathroom was great and the water pressure was amazing 😄 Had a fantastic shower! The apartment was exceptionally clean. The location was perfect with the cliff lift just at the end of the road.
