Host & Stay - South Cliff Apartment

The location was brilliant and the parking was very easy. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed without any fussy extras and was just the right size for our requirements. Out of our party of 3 we all agreed it was one of the better apartments we have stayed in over the years in this part of Scarborough.

The layout, high ceilings, abundant natural light, proximity to the south bay, convenient parking, advanced tech, excellent kitchen appliances, and overall homely feel were great.

There was no hot water during the day unless we used the boost function, which didn’t work despite following the instructions. After returning from the beach, we couldn’t have a hot shower. We contacted the staff, but their response was slow and they provided the same instructions we had already tried without success. While the damage cover is understandable, having to pay it again if you extend your stay by just one day feels like an opportunistic money-making ploy. Regarding the value of the stay the furnishings are basic, the pillows and quilts did not match the overall cost, the beds were uncomfortable, and there were not enough towels provided for a family of four.

A lighter weight duvet would be more comfortable in Spring & Summer.

The location & appartment were very good. Especially with having the dogs and being opposite a small park area & the beach.

Having had a back or front garden in every place we bought it was odd being in an appaprtment. However that is being picky.

Lovely apartment in a great location within walking distance of promenade

Bedrooms a little small, thus just standard double beds which were a little uncomfortable.

A more flexible check in time We had an event to go to , so the regimented 4 o’clock check in time made this very stressful. Also having to pay a damage waiver , this should be made clear at the time of booking !!!
