Breathing Space

We stayed for one night as we were passing by in our trip through the Highlands. When we arrived the place was freezing cold as the windows were open and the heat turned off. Also, they said coffee was available when it was not. The cleanliness status wasn’t at it finest specially the bath tub. We all agreed that between the low water preasure and the sensation of stickiness of the bath tub anti-slip rug, the shower experiencia was not the best. Besides all this, the stay was ok for the night and the intructions to find the house were helpful

Instructions not clear regarding opening the key box (ie need to first cancel previous codes). Difficulty contacting owner, for over a hour, via calls and messages using provided phone number (went to voice mail only). Booking.Com finally achieved contact with owner. The position: not aware it was in a semi-industrial area with poor external appeal and awkward access (but clean interior). No basic bathroom toiletries (such as shampoo or bath soap). Poor shower flow and impossible to maintain water temperature. Thin bath towels. I rarely give a poor review but expected better presentation for the premium costing.

The apartment itself was clean and comfortable. It had everything I needed for a short stay.

The surroundings are not very nice. It sits next to several industrial buildings.

Nice renovation of an old flat. The underfloor heating in the bathroom was good.

Pretty poor location in a poorly kept apartment building, sandwiched between main road and industrial area. Access to the apartment was tricky, particularly in the wet. There was plenty of rubbish visible, and the lobby was grubby and unkempt with neighbours' bike and ladders in the stairwell. Not somewhere you would want visitors.
