Apartamento El Muellito

The apartment was totally private and self contained in a brilliant position with amazing views and close to shops and restaurants. it was well equipped and met all our needs. We loved the privacy of the sun terrace and enjoyed watching the ferry boats come and go.

This is a well maintained, clean and comfortable apartment above a restaurant in Calle Limones. It is modestly but adequately equipped. Entrance is up a flight of stairs from the street into a long, narrow kitchen which leads into a living room. A sliding picture window gives access to a terrace with a great view of the harbour and Fuertoventura in the distance. It's covered which gives shade if you need it - but also shields you from the winds which tend to be a feature of Playa Blanca. There is an upper terrace without shade if you really want to roast in the sun. Both allow privacy and peace even though the apartment is in the busy centre of the town. After handing over the keys the host, who spoke no English, left us to our own devices so it really became our home for a fortnight.

Only a couple of very minor niggles... There was no linen change or cleaning offered - one visit for these purposes would have been appreciated. The lighting in the living room is truly dreadful - take a torch if you want to read after dark! If you're light sleeper you might find the sound from the restaurant's kitchen extractor disturbing - it starts at about 7.30 am and continues until around midnight - this is, of course, beyond the control of the apartment's owners.
