Woodland Lodge Luxury Suite

we loved the location of the property. the property was beautifully done, taking care of each and every comfort and requirement.

if only a microwave can be included,,,

We spent a glorious three days at the Woodland Lodge, and really wish we could have stayed longer. This is not really an "apartment" it's more like a super fancy huge hotel suite. Everything was 5 star quality and above. Including free whisky ! The suite has so much room and so much storage. Bed is king size, with divine linens and amazingly comfortable. Curtains and furniture are beautiful and extremely tasteful. Bathroom is also very large with lots of storage and fantastic toiletries. There is a separate sitting room/dining room to spread out in, great TV coverage and fast internet too. The cherry on top : the very large private terrace with the most gorgeous view. We spent time drinking wine out there. Loved it. It was always a wrench to leave our haven when we set off for the day, but what bliss to come back to it! The Old Inn a 5 minute drive down the hill is a great place to go for delicious pub food. Great atmosphere, we went there twice. Another thing i appreciated is this suite is absolutely immaculate. So very clean and perfect. Smelled wonderful, but not with chemical smells. We really felt it was pristine. As others have noted, there is no microwave and no toaster. Yes, they would be nice, but at the same time, I really appreciated how immaculate the suite was, and there were NO cooking smells! So all in all, I agree with the decision not to have them. It would have been too tempting to bring in takeout and microwave mediocre food. We had cereal, yogurt, fruit and scones for breakfast and did not miss the toaster or microwave at all. There is a pod coffeemaker and a french press for coffee, as well as an electric kettle. Tea and coffee, milk and lovely nibbles are provided as well. There is a large mini fridge too. It was all we needed. You leave your dishes outside in a crate, and during the day the lovely hostess Elizabeth washes them and sets them out for you again. Great system.

We were pleasantly surprised by both how nicely and tastefully decorated the accommodation was and with what care the hostess Elizabeth had put into all the details - nothing was really missing here! Fully equipped with every imaginable comfort and small positive, practical, comfortable (and tasty) surprises.

We had a fantastic stay at the Woodland Lodge. It has a very beautiful view and a lot of privacy. We actually liked this area more than Portree even though it is a little bit out of the way from some of the northern and western points of attraction. Elizabeth and Ian were very hospitable and kind. They left us some aged whisky tasters as well as some snacks. We highly recommend this place.

As some other guests wrote, there was no microwave or toaster. We knew this going into the stay and really hope that the host will consider providing at least a toaster. It’s difficult not having a device to heat food especially considering we had some early starts.

Excellent location, secluded and peaceful. Cannot say enough of how serene it is.

Elizabeth is charming. The location is so beautiful. Loved the nearby Old In. For food

Maybe a simple electric hot plate for cooking breakfast or have it be a Bed and Breakfast

The Woodland is very comfortable, with stylish furnishings and beautiful views. Elizabeth was very welcoming and provided useful tips for enjoying the island. This was the nicest accommodation in our three weeks in Scotland.

We enjoyed the remote location. but you should be aware it is a bit off the beaten track with limited restaurants in the immediate area.
