The location was fantastic, the views are incredible. Elizabeth is a wonderful and kind host. The property itself is very beautiful and well-maintained. Everything is beautifully furnished and very comfortable, and Elizabeth really goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. Additionally, the apartment is very clean.

Crisp sparkling new apartment on spacious grounds with thrilling view! Is that ardent praise or not? Some travelers might find the location too remote and the single-track road too daunting, but given the hordes of tourists on Skye, “remote” is good! There’s just one eatery nearby, next lot in fact, the Taigh Eilean Hotel. Fortunately, it’s fairly good; otherwise you’ll need to drive an hour and back for dinner, in which case I strongly recommend the Kinloch Lodge. This apartment has no kitchen, not even a microwave. Plan ahead!

Yes, we knew that the apartment was not kitchen-equipped, and yes we knew that restaurants would be far away. But a decent coffee maker … not one of those hideous cartridge frauds … would have been welcome. Just a filter cone or a French press? Ach, it’s sad to be a caffeine addict!
