Abbott House by Viridian Apartments

I stayed at Viridian Apartments at Abbotts House and found it to be an ideal place to stay, especially given its convenient location not far from the Warner Bros. Studio Tour. The price was also very reasonable for the area. The staff at the office were all very friendly and helpful. The online portal and ability to communicate with staff was good and easily accessible. However, I did find myself needing to call multiple times to clarify information and ask questions that could have been made clearer during the booking process, so basic communication could be improved. For example, details around parking could be explained better. It would be helpful to include a note that the £50 deposit is for the fob when adding parking, as I had to call to get this clarified. The booking system also only allowed me to reserve parking one day at a time, which initially suggested I would need to pay a £50 deposit for each day. After calling, I was sent an invoice that allowed me to pay for the full duration with just a single deposit, which was much more convenient. There was also an issue with the check-out key code. On the day of check-out, the code did not work, which meant that after leaving the apartment to put things in the car, I couldn’t get back in. This is something that should be clearly explained in the check-out details. The apartment itself was very clean and comfortable. A small refresh, such as a bit of new paint, would really brighten it up. The shower could also do with some attention, as the main waterfall shower head was faulty and water only trickled out from the top, making it difficult to wash your hair. The apartment also got very hot, although it was great that a fan was provided, as it was definitely needed. There were also a couple of building-related issues which, although not directly the apartment’s fault, did impact our stay. There was no light in our corridor, and the car park barrier did not open when we needed to leave.

Convenient location, clean apartment with lots of space. The facilities were good. We only stayed for 3 nights but the apartment was comfortable enough to have stayed a lot longer.

Arranging a parking space was a little difficult. A space had been set aside for me but no email was sent until just before my stay. However the staff cleared up the misunderstanding and kept me well informed in every other respect.

location was great, and it was excellent having laundry and basic kitchen facilities. The bed was comfy and the unit was tidy. was great to be minutes from great coffee shops and bars, as well as a sainbury and other shops, and literally 4mins walk from the train station. excellent location.

the shower was odd, and the 'rain shower' water was very sparse. also, no ledge to put anything in the shower and the door kept rolling open. the curtains weren't long enough to block out all the windows, and the light on the oven kept flashing all night and I couldn't figure out how to turn it off. was a little annoying. There was no wifi I could see on the networks, but I was able to select the wifi from what seems to be another unit which had the same passcode I was given, so that seemed to work.
