Apartamentul este foarte frumos și curat, dotat cu tot ce era necesar. Gazda ne-a asteptat la locație si ne-a prezentat proprietatea. Este situat chiar în inima Cetății Bizantine, într-o locație deosebită, de unde se poate admira un apus de soare spectaculos. Zona este foarte liniștită, oferind o atmosferă relaxantă și autentică. În același timp, principalele obiective turistice și puncte de interes din împrejurimi sunt ușor accesibile, ceea ce îl face un loc ideal atât pentru odihnă, cât și pentru explorarea zonei

The highlights of the stay were the location and the surroundings. It’s in a great spot on the island, right on the edge of Venetian ruins, with a wonderful restaurant nearby and truly stunning natural scenery all around. The WiFi was also excellent, which was important for us as we had a few mornings of working while travelling. The host was extremely responsive and helpful. We really enjoyed Kythira on the whole and would visit the island again.

Unfortunately we were quite disappointed with the apartment as it didn’t quite match the standard suggested by the reviews. I had booked it based on a 9.6 rating on Booking.com, which is usually very reliable, so we were surprised when we arrived. It felt a bit overrated, which is a shame as people do rely on those scores when booking. The apartment itself was quite cluttered compared to the photos, almost like things had just built up over time without much thought. There was also a lot of seating for a two-bedroom apartment — two armchairs and three extra chairs — which made the small kitchenette/living/dining space feel cramped and awkward. Cleanliness was also an issue, with a dirty tablecloth, and the sink and hob not properly cleaned on arrival. We were also given an old used sponge, which wasn’t great. The kitchen was missing some basic things like a kettle, with only a filter coffee machine, so we had to boil water in saucepans for tea. The shower was also problematic, with low pressure and temperature that kept changing, which made it difficult to use. During our four-night stay, towels and bedding were only changed on the third day, which was a bit late to be useful. For a stay of this length, halfway through would have made more sense. We also had to take out our own bins, as the small bin filled up quickly. The fresh bedding was just left on top of the bed rather than made up, so we had to do it ourselves. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but in the bigger picture that didn't bother us much.

A very nice studio apartment in a fascinating location - right next to extensive Venetian ruins. Views to the sea were wonderful too. The property was clean, well equipped with a comfortable bed, good shower, etc. Manolis’ communication was helpful and prompt. The little village of Milopotamus is an easy one kilometre walk from the property and has a great taverna as well as walks to the waterfall and ancient mill sites too.

Πολύ ευγενικοί και πρόθυμοι οικοδεσπότες που απαντούσαν άμεσα σε όλα τα μέιλ και μας άφησαν και δωράκι τοπικά προϊόντα. Υπέροχο σημείο με απόλυτη ησυχία και τέλεια θέα!

Unique Location, friendly hosts that were very communicative and understanding. Beautiful enviroment. Equiped for someone to cook and prepare food/breakfast. Had also some ingredients for a rustic breakfast gratis. The view was stunning and breaktaking.

Our stay in Manolis' place was great and Manolis is very good host. The apartment was very nice and clean, equipped with everything needed. It is next to an ancient castle and the view was great. Manolis recommended us restaurants, taverns and beaches. We love this place and Kythira at all, we will return back again for sure. Highly recommend!
