Kostas Beach Apartments

The apartment was lovely. Lisa, the owner, had thought of everything in terms of what was needed in the kitchenette and the cleanliness of the place. The apartment was at the northern end of the beach. This was away from the busier end of the main beach, which suited perfectly. We had two adjoining bedrooms, which had a wonderful view of the sea and in the evenings, the sunset. Lisa takes a lot of pride in the place. The swimming pool is also new and my children enjoyed swimming it with the changing lights at night. The village is small, friendly and there are plenty of shops for provisions, tavernas and travel agents, who can organise trips out to further explore Corfu if you don't hire a car.

Nothing.

The location is excellent. The room we had (studio) was large with two bathrooms, a kitchenette with everything needed to prepare a breakfast (stove, large fridge, kettle, toaster, sandwich machine, coffee maker), comfortable mattresses, two bathrooms (a large bathroom with shower, sink and toilet and the smaller one with shower and toilet), each room with separate access to large separate balconies overlooking the pool and the sea. The pool was a big plus for very hot days or when the sea water is cold. Our children were extremely excited. A restaurant called Black Rocks is set just to the side of the property serving good food, drinks and cocktails. Access to the property has a section of road with cobblestones and a pontoon by the sea, on which you can reach the streets of the small town of Agios Gordios, approximately 300 meters away. There are also many beautiful and chic terraces there, but also quite wide beaches with fine sand. If you have luggage, the administration of the place through Makis, a very kind gentleman (son of the owners) will always help you with the car to take them to the concrete parking lot which is located on a higher level above at a distance of max 300 m. The location of the apartments and the pool with the terrace is practically on a rock plateau where the view is idyllic. The waves hit the pier and the nearby beaches offer a superb view. Summarizing, the Kostas property comfort, idyllic landscape, mix between nature and tourist tumult. We recommend this family business also because our hosts went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Makis helped us with our luggage on the part of the road where we couldn't carry the troller, Lisa always friendly. Thanks Lisa, Kostas and Makis!

Vacation too short

Fantastic, the rooms all overlook the pool and the seaside, the resort was quiet and peaceful. There is a lovely beach bar just next door ifcyou want to eat in or takeaway, everything was spotless and if youvare looking to be far from the maddening crowd, just perfect. Lisa and her family were always helpful. I will book again. Thank you Lisa.

There was nothing we didnt like. However as a warning, The property is not accessible by car so you need to do a short walk along the beach to get there so if you have any mobility problems the boardwalk does go to stone and you need to be careful and be aware of this. The owners do make this clear on the property description For us though, we did not mind as it meant there was no traffic noise and we enjoyed the short walk to town every day. It was one of the reasons we chose the accommodation as we were wanting a peaceful trip. Lisa brings your luggage by 4 wheel drive and makes it as easy as possible on your arrival and departure so don't be put off, just make sure you have flat shoes and are steady on your feet.

Fantastic location - we could hear and see the beach from the apartment. We much preferred being at the quiet end of Agios Gordios especially as there were fewer people on the beach near the apartment. Everything in the apartment worked well - aircon, shower, showerhead, electrics etc. Not always a given! And the mattresses were really comfortable. Again, not always a given. The pool was amazing and the sunbeds brand new. There were more than enough pool-side sunbeds available for guests, and there were more further up where the barbecue is. There were also tables dotted around which guests can use to eat lunch/dinner. Pleased with cleanliness, and owners helpful.

Nothing springs to mind.

Beautiful place with clean swimming pool and perfect natural beach. Cosy apartement with local spirit and sunset view. Nearby restaurant serving delicious Greek meals and fresh fish (order one day in advance). Comfortable beds. Very kind host family. Perfect holiday, we must return :)

I liked location, friendliness of the host

There was nothing I didn't like

A great place a little off the beaten track with a fantastic beach which you can go straight from the apartment. The terrace with the swimming pool guarantees a continuous view of the sea. Great host Lisa! One of the nicest people I've ever met! Very helpful. Please note there is no direct access to the apartment, the last 200 meters must be covered on foot along the beach. A bit like in the movie Mamma Mia but it adds even more charm to this place! We will definitely return!

You have to be aware that the rooms are up to the Greek standard but for me it's more of an advantage than a disadvantage. Not everyone is looking for super modern apartments.
