Big apartment, has all what you need, comfy bed and a nice spacious balcony and parking. Great budget accomodation

We had the privilege - by mistake! - of spending one night in a larger apartment to the left of where we should have been, and then transferring to the smaller middle one the next day. Both were lovely, but for the two of us, the middle one was cosier. The mistake was because of L’s poorly translated instructions and also because the key-code appears to work for all three apartments, which is not brilliant, since then anyone staying could get in any of those three ground-floor apartments? There should be a better translated set of instructions now. That aside, we were very impressed by how well-equipped the kitchen was, with lots of useful electrical gadgets including a kettle and a grill, lovely towels and bedding, a great bathroom with a noisy but functioning washing machine, and a huge area for parking which is not always on offer, judging by all the cars parked outside holiday blocks. It is easy to walk down to the beach which is extensive, clean and pleasant, particularly in the evening, although a bit trickier to find the way back again! Easiest would have been to go straight up through the Cavo Grosso site, but that seems to be just for residents. The apartment has good air-conditioning, reasonable although sometimes erratic wi-fi, no ants, and it was easy to get onto the roads to take you in different directions. Our host was very responsive to messages and this made an excellent base for exploring Gytheio, the Mani, Sparta and Mystras, L Monemvassia and the beautiful countryside nearby. The little table and chairs outside our door were a bit exposed but nice to have.

Finding our way was tricky as we kept looking our for signs to ‘Montenegro’ which seems to be a Googletranslation of ‘Mavrovoúni’? Improved wi-fi connectivity would be an advantage. A map of how best to get to and from the beach on foot would be helpful. The building next door had ‘columns’ so we were glad of our photo of the outside which showed clearly the distinctive balustrades rather than the Googletranslated ‘columns’. There were no tavernas or shops within easy walking distance, as far as we could see, although if there were, it would be great to have a map of where!

The apartment was very modern and airy and well appointed and comfortable.

The kitchen cupboard s had a really strong damp smell coming through from an external wall, which could also be smelt at times in the bedroom. Also the apartment name didn't appear on any signs en route.

The apartment is a good size, clean , fresh linen and the beds are comfortable. There is also a good size fridge freezer and a full size cooker.

There was no hot water for our stay, we had to ask for the wi-fi code twice but it didn't really matter as there was no wi-fi anyway. The TV also didn't work - not that we intended really using anyway. If you state self-catering, then you need to provide suitable utensils and kitchen appliances. No kettle, only one pot and a very old frying pan, no chopping board, no bread knife, no sharp kitchen knives, only one mug. Also, you have forks and spoons for eating but no knives! There are no utensils for cooking, like wooden spoons, fish slice spatula, or anything else useful. However, you do have three ice-cube tongs but no way of making ice-cubes!
