La casa Del Sal

A very large and spacious property with uninterrupted views of the harbour and Venetian castle. There is a roof terrace from which to enjoy the same views. The property is very well equipped and in excellent condition

We didn’t find anything that we didn’t like

A beautifully appointed home with a stunning view of Heraklion harbour. Shops and restaurants were within easy walking distance. The owner Georgia was friendly and welcoming.

The view was so amazing! I don’t think there is a better view from any property in the city. We weee so happy we chose this. From the gated entry to the courtyard to the beautiful rooms and windows over the port. This place is amazing.

Unfortunately there is no parking right there but we were very lucky to find street parking a couple of times and there are paid lots nearly. You are able to pull in close to unload though.

We had a brilliant and special stay and the host Georgia was very communicative accommodating and sweet! She was very responsive to any question I asked which was very much appreciated from our group. I would recommend the house to anyone planning to visit Heraklion - you have the whole city on your doorstep and an incredible view. The house is beautiful and like others said the pictures do not do or justice.

The place was very spacious, offering plenty of room for the 6 of us. Bright, airy and just a beautiful space overall. Centrally located and walkable - tucked in an off street so you can’t hear much noise. Amenities like patio, slippers, kitchen space, washer, etc was an added bonus. Beds and pillows were comfortable. If you stay here, you won’t be disappointed! Georgia was very responsive to our needs!

The wifi was a little slow and not accessible in every room. We suggest that the owner includes a detailed manual for things like: how to work ac, washer, etc. during our stay (and mind you this was our fault) we accidentally turned on the home security function and left the alarm running until we were able to get in contact (maybe 5 min until it was disabled). These items would not deter me from staying here again. I would love to come back!

Georgia was the most incredible host, super friendly, welcoming, full of Cretan hospitality. And the house is absolutely stunning, our mouths dropped the moment we stepped inside to the beautiful private garden and saw the glass windows with their panoramic view of the old Venetian port. The house was perfect for our large family with full amenities, open spaces and high ceilings to share a meal and gather each day before and after exploring the city center and wider region. You can feel the love and care that went into every detail of this place. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Everything was perfect!

You’re going to fall in love with this place. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could think of, giant living room with a fireplace, piano and a spectacular view on the marine. Can’t agree more with the fact that everything looks even better than on pictures and sincerely surprised by the level of hosts’ hospitality. Thanks for building up such an amazing place, we’ll be glad to visit it again soon.
