Great location close to the marina. Airy and bright apartment with views from balconies back and front.

There were multiple sources of information and messaging in advance which I found confusing and a bit overwhelming.

Perfect location. The arrival and departure were very easy and organized. The view from the apartment was great

The bathroom as not enough counter space, it could be upgraded. The terrace is not taken care of. Not painted and the dead plants, give it a terrible look that doesn’t match the interior.

Great central location. Terrific views. A bit noisy at night. Excellent lay out and facilities. On sight laundry was very helpful. Easy to access off site parking. Decks looking to mountains and ocean were lovely. Nice cross breeze.

Pillows

The property has a nice view over the marina. This was the only thing we liked about it. But we could not enjoy the view, we anticipated evenings sat on the balcony enjoying the view, but the balcony was very filthy and the chairs and table were dirty mismatching uncomfortable items. Dead plants in pots as well?!

I didn’t like having to get a taxi from the airport to the offices where all these apartments are rented out from, to collect keys, then taxi to the apartment itself. Knowing this at time of booking would’ve been better. I did not enjoy pulling out the previous tenants hair from the shower trap before I had a shower. My mum and I kept our flip flops on at all times in the bathroom and when we showered as it was dirty. The toilet seat didn’t even fit on the toilet properly. It was really horrible. The bathroom sink plug didn’t hold the water in. Nor did the plug in the kitchen sink! When we turned the oven on the kitchen was filled with black smoke as the grill was dirty. So we couldn’t use the oven at all. The “washing machine” wasn’t there as advertised and we wondered if they meant a dishwasher. The doors did not unlock to the kitchen OR to the bedroom, The keys were rusted into the locks. The sofa was stained and dirty. Yet this apartment really could be nice, it needs money spent on it, and at approx £170 a night when we went in May, you don’t expect to feel gross & not want to touch things the whole time you are there. I am not sure if there was aircon. If that’s important to you, make sure to check before you book.

The location was good

We did not have hot water for 2 days. We had to shower in cold water and manager of the apartment did not seem to care, no solution was provided. The terrace was dirty, with dead plants, in an unusable state. The pictures attached can give you an idea. The apartment looks way better in the ad than in reality. For this price there are way better options in Ponta Delgada. There were no basic cleaning articles such as mop, broom, cloths. The toilet and shower were completely dated and lacked basic storage to leave our toiletries, we had to use a chair to leave our stuff there. The kitchen was tiny and we could not fit comfortably 2 people in it while cooking.
