Aljube Residences I - Apt novo, com terraço, centro PDL

The apartment is centrally located, perfectly appointed and furnished, quiet (but right off a main road for easy navigation) and beautiful! The bed is very comfortable and there is everything you need from information about the city to a kitchen to laundry and large closet and bathroom. Pedro was so helpful and communicative throughout our stay. We loved our short time there and would absolutely return.

The apartment was clean and comfortable. There were multiple amenities with instruction manuals including a laundry machine that worked great!

There was one night that the power for the front door to the building went out. Our host had warned us about this and told us to take the keys with us. Luckily we did, so we were not locked out. Even though everything has a code, take the keys just incase.

Helpful owner, called the car rental company when we had some issues ahead of our stay. Very well equipped, stylish, comfy Very comfortable pillows

Poor security - someone randomly entered our room while we were there, it was not staff. Equipments show many signs of use, leaking faucet. Items such as dishwasher tabs, toilet paper, paper towel - enough only for two days (our stay was 4 days)

Very central, yet quiet location. Light and spacious apartment with all that you need. Pedro was a very efficient communicator.

I would have appreciated a second pillow! The ones in the cupboard didn’t have covers.

Host was very responsive, and I couldn't have asked for a better location--right next to one of the most popular restaurants. Flat had everything I needed for a few days. Living space was large and comfortable. The water and wine were a nice touch.

The only downside of staying at these apartment style places is that there is not much flexibility to use e.g. bathroom facilities. This is not really the fault of the host since there is no reception area like a hotel. Place was very comfortable, but there were lots of tiny bugs which I didn't love.

The best thing of the place is the design of the place itself, which is clearly well-thought and creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. It was also very clean, quiet and with plenty of light. Communicating with the host was easy, very responsive and the check in happened easily with the safety code. Very central and close to the main amenities of Ponta Delgada.

The stay went well overall, but there are a few things to note when it comes to a place that is quite pricey like this one (almost €800 for three nights for two people). The apartment was quite hot, even with the windows entirely open or with the AC on in the living room. There was also a quite strong smell of humidity in the entrance hall, but I guess that is due to the climate of the island. Parking was also very difficult to find, it reminded me of very busy cities.
