Villa Barbara

A wonderful stay at Villa Barbara. Titti was an amazing host and nothing was too much trouble. A short downhill walk into Giardini Naxos with lots of restaurants, nice beach and boats trips. The shared pool was in a beautiful garden setting ( just one pool - booking.com lists two pools). Already missing the wonderful ocean views from the spacious patio at the front, and Mount Etna from the master bedroom patio. Would highly recommend as a place to stay and explore the east coast.

God beliggenhet og alt av nødvendige fasiliteter var på plass. Titi og Savatore stilte virkelig opp for sine gjester, og var alltid tilgjengelig når vi hadde behov for bistand og nyttige tips. Vi hadde en sen ankomst og var slitne etter en lang reise. Da var det godt å bli møtt med nybakt pizza og god drikke. Villa Barbara anbefales på det varmeste.

Traumwohnung über Giardini-Naxos mit Blick auf die Bucht und Taormina. Nur wenige Schritte bis in das Städtchen und an den Strand. Man wohnt wie in einem Park. Sehr nette Vermieter. Großzügiges Willkommenspaket mit Obst, Wasser, Prosecco. Kaffee und Tee war alles bereits vorhanden. Riesige Terrasse mit Sonnenliegen, großem Tisch und Tischtennisplatte. Gepflegter Pool in Parkatmosphäre.

Nous avons aimé la gentillesse de Ttiti et de son papa. Leur attention à l'arrivée avec une bouteille de bienvenu avec un plateau de fruits bien garni sans compter tout le reste (café, biscottes, ...). Le confort et la vue est au top dans un jardin très bien entretenu. La piscine toujours très propre est parfaite avec les bains de soleil. En bref, magnifique.

Super schöne Unterkunft mit viel Geschichte. Alles, was man braucht, war da und wenn nicht, waren die Gastgeber sofort zur Stelle und haben umgehend ausgeholfen. Sehr familiär. Die Ausstattung war für uns als Familie großartig und die Lage einfach praktisch für Ausflüge oder kurzer Spaziergang an der Promenade. Das tägliche Highlight ist der wunderschöne Garten und der Sonnenaufgang und Untergang! Von der großen Terrasse konnte man perfekt in die Bucht schauen und vom Balkon im Schlafzimmer den Sonnenuntergang beim Ätna bestaunen. Die Gastgeber Titi und Salvatore waren sehr herzlich und engagiert. Zur Begrüßung war alles super schön hergerichtet mit kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten wie Kaffee, Wasser, Prosecco und für die Kinder kleine Ostersüßigkeit sowie Blumen und Obst aus dem Garten.

Es ist kein Neubau, sondern authentisch. Für uns hat es perfekt gepasst und unsere Kinder wollten gar nicht weg. Das sagt doch alles 😅

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Apartment had stunning sea views and was very quiet and private. We had the pool to ourselves.

We didn't really like the town of Giardini Naxos, we much preferred Taormina even though food, drink and accommodation was much cheaper here. We felt staff in the bars and restaurants were quite abrupt and not that welcoming. On our last night we got a taxi to Taormina as Giardini Naxos was very disappointing. The walk from the apartment to the town was only about 10-15 minutes but all uphill on the way back which was very tough as we didn't have a car. Was very tough carrying groceries and water up the hill. The air conditioner in the room also wasn't great, it cooled the room but as the main bed was in an alcove, we had to position another fan to feel the effects of the air-conditioning. The bathroom was quite dated and the shower wasn't great at all, very tight and water went everywhere. Overall we were a little disappointed considering the price of the accommodation.
