Location..although not seafront as I have assumed from the pictures

Could never have a warm shower ., Late evenings when we returned from Swim gala athletes wanted warm shower..never happened I know of power problems that plagued the area..but generator was run for an hour and couldn't run the geyser. Place is dirty outside Placed were never serviced whilst we stayed there.

"Great location! Great disappointment!"

Location is stunning!

This is superb accommodation if.... - you don't need Internet - you don't want TV - you don't want hot showers - you don't mind poor customer service. Other than that, it comes highly recommended ๐Ÿ˜‰

"โš ๏ธLeft in the dark"

1.0

I am extremely disappointed and frankly disgusted by our recent stay at this self-catering accommodation. What was meant to be a relaxing 3-night getaway turned into a frustrating and costly experience, largely due to what appears to be a complete disregard for guest comfort and an obvious focus on profit over basic service. Shortly after check-in, the electricity went off. While we initially understood that power outages can happen, the situation quickly became unacceptable when the generatorโ€”supposedly the backup solutionโ€”failed and was never repaired for the remainder of our stay. This left both occupied units in darkness for most of the three nights. When we contacted the owners, their response was dismissive and unhelpful. We were told that the establishment does not advertise backup power and that โ€œthis is South Africa,โ€ as if that somehow excuses the situation. This response is particularly frustrating given that the accommodation heavily advertises amenities and appliances that require electricity, creating a clear expectation that these would be usable. To make matters worse, there were no alternative provisions whatsoeverโ€”no lights, no emergency lamps, no contingency plans. We were left completely in the dark, both literally and figuratively. Food spoiled due to lack of refrigeration, forcing us to spend additional money just to maintain a basic standard of living during our stayโ€”despite already paying for the accommodation. What is even more concerning is that it seems this is not a once-off issue. From what we gathered, previous guests have experienced similar problems, which raises serious questions about transparency. It feels as though these ongoing electricity issues are deliberately not disclosed during the booking process to avoid losing business. Overall, this experience felt exploitative. Guests are expected to pay full price while receiving far less than what is advertised, with no accountability from the owners.

"They don't care about their guests."

1.0

Nothing as I had to find alternative accomodation.

I had to find alternative accomodation as they did not let me know they had no power. They made arrangements for the front part of the house but did not think to let me know they could not get any power to the place I was supposed to stay. They did not even arrange a rechargeable light. They kept insisting the power outage is not their fault, which is not the point. It was their fault not to let me know and ask if I would be comfortable with it and it was their fault not to even have some sort of light in the room as it was very dark.
