"Lovely, well-equipped little bed-sit appartment with huge terrace"

Excellent location - 2 minutes from station, 5 from nearest beach and 10 from Silent Bay and old town. Has a huge terrace with views over town to the sea and beautiful sunsets.

The only thing that wasn’t great was the bed - it’s a sofa bed with really creaky springs. Uncomfortable and annoying.

"Top location to explore Liguria"

Looking for a nice and affordable place as a base for exploring Liguria between Genova and La Spezia? Want to park the car in a safe place and use the train to get around? In this case Silent Bay Apartments must be one of the top choices. Train station is a 5min walk, trenitalia tickets can be bought online, trains are nice and run mostly on time. Easy to get to Cinque Terre, Rapallo/Portofino. Getting around by car is way more complicated, the Autostrada Azzurra is curvy, full of speed limits, roadworks and traffic jams. Not to forget, Sestri Levante itself has a beautiful old town + shore and a trail up the hill for scenery. Antonio was kind, quickly explained all we needed to know even as we arrived at 7pm on a sunday evening.. Check out was quick and easy. The apartment on the lower floor is pretty good for italian standards, spacious even with family and has nice features (the washing machine was really helpful for us, the kitchenette is useful, etc.). The area feels safe.

With kids & lots of stuff, it can be a challenge to find a place for everything, some things might have to stay in the suitcase. Typical utensils are there, some might be missing. If planning meal preparation, best to bring basic necessities or simply buy them in Sestri as needed. There is an automatic air freshener dispenser installed. It makes a strange sound at unexpected times. I would ask to switch it off next time. I guess Antonio can not do much about it, but from the balcony you might be looking at not well kept yards in the neighbourhood.
