The Lodge - Luxury Lodge with Super King Size Bed, Kitchen & Shower Room

Great location right in the centre of the village and great to have a parking spot. Lodge really comfortable and had everything you could need. Pubs, shops and takeaways right on your doorstep. Only a short ride into Brighton. Will defo use again when visiting the area.

The beautiful property is tucked behind a cottage on the jolly high street in Hurstpierpoint. We had the key code in good time but were warmly welcomed by her daughter, which we did not expect, who kindly showed us into the property. A super welcome: thank you. The spacious wooden lodge is gorgeous - light, airy, with beautiful furnishings, a super king size very comfy bed, tasteful integrated fabrics, pictures & arty pieces, interesting books, local guides......There is even a shelf of things to take to the beach! A sun hat, beach mats, swimming towels....Baskets for shopping on the lovely high street, a cool bag for chilled goods - all comforts & needs have been considered so well. Plentiful crockery & nice cutlery, every utensil for cooking, & a very well equipped open plan kitchen with double over & dishwasher. The shower room is very well designed & roomy in a compact space - a generous shower cabinet etc. The little "yarden" is enclosed, with a table & chairs, cushions in the storage box inside, & was lovely for a quiet drink in the sun. The owners have worked so hard to make The Lodge elegant, comfortable, practical & a welcoming place to stay. We loved it & hope to return when visiting family & friends in the area again.

Nothing! Just take note of these directions for finding The Lodge, as the houses & shops are closely packed on the main street so it's easy to miss it! We overshot at first, as it's hard to spot, but is next door to the yoga shop & opposite the bus stop, for anyone seeking it! Parking in front of the owner's cottage worked very well.

Where do I begin? The Lodge is the most thoughtfully prepared accommodation I have ever stayed in. Every last detail has been covered to ensure you have everything the you need (or didn't even realise you needed!). The Lodge itself is spacious, serene, beautifully decorated and in a lovely quiet location tucked behind the High St. Gerry was incredibly welcoming and kept in touch throughout the stay to ensure all was well - and was happy to be contacted at any time if there were any problems. The village itself is friendly and welcoming, with lots of amenities close at hand. Would absolutely recommend.

For a luxury property, I dont think that it was appropriate to ask us to empty the bins for them.
