Poplar Lodge Log Caravan

The location was fantastic, very peaceful. The Lodge inside had everything you needed. Close to local attractions and right by the river.

The Lodge needed a little TLC, the inside furniture was quite uncomfortable, obviously due to lots of use and it's age. There was outdoor furniture, which could do with a wood stain, looked like it had not been done for a while. There was also a swing chair which was located in a lovely little area but the seat was rotting away so we didn't chance sitting on that. . Having said that this reflects the price you pay. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Lovely location, just a few minutes walk along the river to a great little pub. Accommodation lovely, can’t fault it. Very quiet too. Thank you, we will definitely be back 😀

Lovely location easy reach of local pub via a gentle stroll along the banks of the river or along the country road both within 10mins. Space as expected in a retro chalet, beds very comfortable, friendly helpful hosts. Plenty of hot water.

On the surface the chalet was nice and clean however some of the kitchen utensils cutlery and glasses were dirty/dusty and needed a good clean before use. The tea towel provided didn't really dry!!! Although the 2nd bed is comfortable the room is very tiny with little room to move around, definitely only a space to sleep in. The outside decking showed signs of general wear and tear and could use some wood treatment. Only 1 sun chair available

The location was superb. Very peaceful area with lots of lovely walks. The veiws over the river were superb too, lots of wildlife right outside the lodge.

Beautiful location, lovely hosts, couldn't ask for more. We will be back.

Hubby loved sitting on the garden swing overlooking the riverbank and totally relaxing; dog loved chasing her tail around the secure paddock area and I loved the mellow feel to the space. Hosts were great/ very friendly and recommended the local pub for a dog friendly wedding anniversary meal. Breathed a sigh of joy and recommend wholeheartedly.

Location is excellent and you have complete peace. Everything works and you are provided with the basics for your stay.

The cabin could do with a little TLC.
