The Cottage at No. 3

The cottage is in a beautiful quiet location. Potted plants both inside and out enhanced the property. A great eclectic collection of reference books as well! The facilities were good, everything worked well.

It was great for my dog because everything was on one level & there was plenty of room to sprangle & spread around It was a lovely rural situation with donkeys in the field & lots of local walks. Village shop very amenable & open late. Everything very clean & all I needed. Anna was obviously proud of her little holiday cottage between Stonehenge & Avebury. Simple breakfast was pleasant surprise with homemade preserves; milk in fridge was a hit with Milo (dog) and a nice thoughtful touch, it being a bit remote. We were made to feel very welcome & all our needs were catered for.

Great location for walks. Nice and quiet. Good to be detached in case our dog decided to bark. Everything there that we needed. Would be nice to have a secure area to let the dog out but we knew there wasn't one before we arrived. Really easy to take the dog up to a footpath for a wee. Great shower. Heating easy to operate. A nice little place with everything you need. We stayed for five nights, very pleasant. Even though the flags were up most of the time on the plain, we found lots of places we could walk and do loops.

We loved the location of this lovely cosy cottage, which was very clean and warm. Like a home from home. Plus Anna was very welcoming when we arrived. And the welcome pack was very appreciated.

Beautiful and quiet location. Host welcomed me on arrival. Bread and jam had been popped in the fridge for the next morning. Only wish I’d been able to stay longer to take in the surroundings!

Did get a bit chilly at night but the hearting was on and I wrapped myself in extra layers in the bedroom.

What a fabulous place. Spacious, clean and comfortable with all the facilities you could need for a great stay. Good communication from the hosts and the light breakfast bits left were very appreciated. Will definitely book again.

Great location as family nearby. Lovely warm modern accommodation with all the facilities one needed and nice touch to include continental breakfast.

The owner/Host Anna was lovely met us shortly after arrival to check everything was okay and that we didn’t need anything . We were left milk , marmalade ( which was made locally and was absolutely divine ) , jam which Anna had made herself and again was divine and a lovely loaf of bread. Had everything we needed and even managed to make a roast dinner which all their own equipment in the cottage , highly recommend will definitely be using in the future and probably wouldn’t stay anywhere else after this experience and even allowed our dog to stay which was great, can’t wait to see the cottage again . Thank you for an amazing stay and if you book this cottage you definitely won’t regret it 😊
