Wir hatten einen traumhaft schönen Urlaub in Port de Soller. Das schöne Apartement mit einem Bilderbuchblick auf die Bucht von Soller hat ebenso dazu beigetragen wie die exzellente Betreung durch Herrn Friedrich, den Eigentümer unserer Unterkunft. Tolles Wetter, schöne Wanderungen durch die Tramuntana und jeden Morgen ein Frühstück mit traumhafter Kulisse. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

The steps

Le propriétaire est vraiment sympathique et très serviable. Il nous a permis de faire les courses avant de nous déposer à l’appartement. L’appartement était très propre et dispose d’une vue exceptionnelle sur le balcon. La piscine est un vrai plus ! Nous n’avons croisé personne en plein mois d’août. L’appartement dispose des équipements nécessaires pour cuisiner et est assez grand (2 salles de bain et 2 toilettes). Nous nous sommes très bien sentis à l’intérieur ! En prime, il y a tout à proximité (plage, restaurants, location de voitures…).

Le compteur électrique…. Très difficile de cuisiner sans que les plombs ne sautent…. Et il fallait patienter un moment avant que ça revienne. Aussi, dommage qu’il n’y ait pas de lit double (que 2 lits simples dans les 2 chambres). Enfin, il y a de nombreuses marches pour accéder à la plage et au port, ça ne nous a pas dérangé mais il faut juste être en bonne condition physique ;)

The view was so beautiful! We spent a lot of time out of the balcony, it was the perfect place to sit on a morning and on an evening. Blankets were provided so you could sit out when it was chilly. The apartment had everything we needed for the week. The location was perfect. It was a short walk down into Port de Soller with access to the beach and shops. We had a car so it was great to get up into the mountains and drive to little villages. We were on the quieter side of Port de Soller which was great for us. You get a fantastic view of the whole bay and it’s really peaceful and quiet on a night. Because of the time of year most places on our side such as restaurants and shops were shut but it was around 15 minutes walk to the closest places. Our host was very informative and greeted us on arrival to show us everything. He also sent a couple of messages during our stay to inform us of things we needed to know or check if we needed anything. In the apartment there were heaters etc for cold nights, but if you switch more than one on at once, they will trip the electric. This was again fine though as we had been warned and our host informed us of everything possible.

The apartments are built on the side of a hill, hence the beautiful view, which meant there were over 150 steps from the seafront entrance to our apartment. There are more steps as well to go up to the car park. We didn’t mind this but if you are not physically fit, this would be a struggle. The car park was also very awkward, again with it being hillside - this wasn’t a problem but if you’re a less confident driver just be aware of this.

Great location and fabulous view. Hartmut was very helpful getting us settled in and pointing out how to use various things. He made us feel very welcome.

Everything was very nice except the linens and towels could be replaced.

The terrasse with the view is just better that the pictures suggests. It is exposed for morning sun, so that would be nice any time of the year. There is a very nice sofa so it is really cozy to spend the siesta there. Also there is deep shadow on the terrasse, so it also comfortable later in the day when it is warm Hartmut is a top star host, very good instructions along the way, and was very quick to respond our questions. Also gave very good tip for a sunset experience. Easy communication on WhatsApp, lots of pictures and videos for illustration and explanation - very nice! We counted 158 steps down to the street, easy down, not a problem up.

There is a dedicated parking space - nice! but small car recommended, it is a bit tight. Alternatively street parking is not a problem.
