Los Balcones Puerto Morelos

It is in a condo style of building in a gated community. Very quiet and I felt very safe. Stores are within a walkable distance. Room size was very good and there is a full kitchen. Bed was very comfortable, room very clean. Eva was very helpful. Neighborhood has a few small parks and a small pool.

It’s about 3 km to the beach. The ad I saw said there was a gym and bikes available, but they were not. Still a reasonable walk to get to the beach. Also, I didn’t see an elevator so people with mobility issues would not be able to get yo their room.

We can't say much because we didn't end up staying. We appreciated that the host was willing to let us cancel upon arriving and giving us a full refund. Very affordable and probably good for longer term stays - not one week holidays.

Our brief experience was not very positive. We arranged a car to pick us up from the airport with the host, but when we arrived no one was there. After half an hour (and borrowing someone's phone to call them, as we didn't have service) they arrived. The driver got lost on the way, and clearly had never been there before. When he arrived, we had to show our passports to a gatekeeper as it's a gated community. He dropped us off at an apartment, and we didn't know where we were going as there were no signs. We rang a doorbell, and a man yelled at us for bothering him and ringing his bell. We ended up having to turn our data on and incur roaming fees to text the host that we were there, even though we had previously told her we wouldn't be able to use our phones. Finally, a lady who was not the host (a friend of hers?) let us in. The room was quite small and dark. The host had give us a ground level room instead of the room that we booked because she said it was larger and better. However, the booked the room we did because it had a desk and I needed to work. The apartment seemed quite far off the beaten path, and we would have had to walk through poorly lit areas to get to any restaurant or amenities. It is a gated community so it seems ubers and taxis cannot come up to the house but instead wait on the street. At the end of all this, we decided it wasn't what we were looking for and ended up having to book last minute accommodation on Isla Mujeres which ended up increasing the price of our trip substantially.

Location was nice quiet neighborhood, beautiful views, lovely studio apartment with kitchen easy bike ride to the beach with complementary use of bikes even had a adorable kitten that visited occasionally loved everything everything

Eva our hostess was amazing, she personally meeting with us when we arrived, and provided valuable information. I can not say enough about this lady. We would most definitely rent one of the properties she manages.

Our stay was to short, wish we didn't have a flight to catch.
