Brilliant for what we needed

The location was just a short drive to the Morrisons supermarket and to the centre of town. The dedicated parking space was a bonus as parking on the nearby streets would have been difficult. Once the school had closed for the day it was a very quiet cul-de-sac.

We arrived just as the school at the end of the street was finishing for the day so getting to the property was a bit of a nightmare. Also we hadn't expected to be met with a flight of stairs on entering the front door. I don't remember seeing anything in the description that stated it was a 1st floor flat with only stair access. For an overnight stay it was ok but I couldn't imagine staying there for a week and having to haul up heavy suitcases and shopping bags, not at our age. Also the kitchen was a bit lacking in the utensil & crockery department so a longer stay would have meant constant washing up and with no dishwasher that kind of spoils the holiday. The sink in the bathroom was set a bit low and I'm only 5'7".

The apartment was clean and well catered for guests. Bottle of milk, teabags, preserves and 2 small boxes of cereal were left for us which was appreciated. We found the bonus of an Alexa device very helpful!

There isn't much space in the double room between the end of the bed and the wall. So we did walk into the sharp corners of the bed frame a few times. The vanity unit in the bathroom could do with some upgrading. However this would not stop us booking the apartment again as overall it was very good.

The property was ideal for our stay. It was clean, comfortable and excellent value. The hospitality was a bonus, tea, coffee, miilk bread and jam for breakfast!

It was ideal for our stay - we wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

Good location, great for where we were working pleasant place to spend the night.

Busy little estate cars and people coming and going late into the night.
