Seaside Sundae Suite

I want to make clear that our stay was not just disappointing it was unsafe and traumatising their was violent aggressive behaviour from other guests in the same building, screaming fighting and doors slamming all night. This was documented on video. Police attended and one guest was taken away in ambulance the police after shouting and banging on the door numerous times were allowed in by whoever was left in the room. We were unable to sleep at all and left at 6 30 am exhausted and shaken. This is not merely noise but a serious disturbance thar made this property unfit for its advertised purpose of a relaxing overnight stay. The hosts apologised and it is noted but it does not address the complete failure to provide a safe accommodation simply disclaimer responsibility for other guests is not acceptable. They were made aware throughout the disturbance and into the early hours when we informed the police and ambulance were at the property. I can provide videos if required

Avoid at all costs!! Although the location is very good, this apartment was very poorly maintained with cupboard doors hanging off or not fitting and it was absolutely FILTHY. Dirty drawer and cupboards, cobwebs hanging from ceilings, thick layers of dust on surfaces everywhere. When we arrived at the property we had to climb over a big basket of dirty linen to get in and then we were dismayed to find the rubbish from the previous guests left in the bins & unwashed cups left in the cupboards. Landlord was slow to respond and then claimed it could all have been fixed easily that same evening, but it was clear it needed a thorough deep clean and repairs, so we opted to leave & stay elsewhere.

Very dirty & poor maintenance. Beds made huge creaking noises when we sat on them and mattresses were rock hard. I have booked many properties through booking.com over the years and this is the worst - it’s the first time I’ve ever had to opt to leave and book elsewhere last minute because of the condition it was presented in.

Decor was amazing. So well thought out and the little details really made it.

The property could have been cleaner. It was a shame because although not filthy, it could have been better and let the place down a little.

Nice

The apartment at first glance was very nice and well appointed. The location was good for places to eat, shops etc.The host did respond to my request to close the Kitchen window, which we couldn't reach, and apologised for the poor cleaning standards.

The on-site parking in the booking.com details didn't exist. Parking on the street was free but virtually impossible to find a space nearby. The whole stay was spoiled by the poor cleanliness issues, and another issue which I raised with the host to by text message on returning home.

Property was excellent gorgeously decorated, Great location to walk to the sea. We celebrated my daughter’s 5 birthday. We will definitely re-book again. Great value for money.

It was an amazing weekend we loved it all

The property was centrally located and host was helpful in providing a cot and support with keys.

Arrived in the evening with 2 young children. Flat is part of three flats and we was on middle floor. Booked one night with the intention to go to the beach after we check out at 10:00. Between the hours of 4:45-06:30, there was several male voices arguing what seemed like top or bottom floor followed by slamming of doors and shouting along the hall way. The children were awake and cranky and we were also very tired. We packed and left by 07:30. Didn’t feel safe and our day at the beach was ruined as children were too tired for us to stay on. Instead we left for home. Raised it with the property owner and he advised it could have been next door. It was a stay from hell.

The whole flat was an oasis of calm with plenty of space. Very seaside inspired which we liked. Near the town/train station, cafes and shops. It was a very calm atmosphere throughout the flat. We will be booking again for a longer period.

No mat in shower.

Went too weatherspoons nearby

No sound proofing in building. Other guest had a dog downstairs which he was taking in and out . Fire doors banging untill late and kids were in bed.
