Dovecote Cotswold Cottages

A beautiful property which has been created to a high standard.

The place looked like it had never been touched. It was absolutely immaculate and Michael had gone above and beyond to make everything a little nicer. There was cereal, milk, eggs and butter in the fridge, a bag with a loaf of amazing sourdough bread, a chocolate brownie, a scone, and some delicious biscuits. Michael was very welcoming and warm and he also offered us a much later checkout if we wanted it as the housekeeper wasn't coming until later in the afternoon. An exceptional experience all round. Ps. The wardrobe in the bedroom that he made for his daughter originally is of incredible quality and I spent a long time just admiring his incredible craftsmanship

The Bothy Cottage we stayed in was beautifully furnished with a perfect mix of luxury and functionality! Michael was a fantastic host who couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and comfortable during our stay. We stopped for 3 nights over Xmas and he went above and beyond leaving us a surprise welcome box of treats which were delicious and very much appreciated. We loved the local village, stunning walks in the countryside all on the door step of the cottage. I'll definitely be booking again to stay again next year!

The cottage is finished to an exceptional standard and the welcome-pack was much appreciated as well. Michael is a superb host who was eager to ensure our stay was the best it could be. He gave us good advice about Blenheim Palace as well. The location is a livery / equine training school and the staff were more than happy to show my wife around the horses and ponies. She really enjoyed this. Thank you. We will definitely be booking again.

The only thing we didn't like was that we had to go home!

This was our first trip to the Cotswolds and won’t be our last. Dovecote Cottages was the ideal place to stay as we explored the quaint villages and sights. It surpassed all expectations! The cottage was fantastic and one of the most memorable places we’ve stayed at over many trips to Europe. Michael went above and beyond in so many ways. From the generous welcome basket to making us feel right at home we really appreciated his attention to detail. You will not be disappointed when staying here. Plus, it’s walking distance to a lovely pub/restaurant, a short drive to an ancient stone circle as well as Daylesford Farms.
