The location is perfect for exploring Lauderdale by the Sea on foot, without needing Uber or taxis. There is a nice grocery store and pharmacy right across the street, and the beach is just a 5-minute walk from the unit.

The apartment could use a deep cleaning. After arriving and taking off shoes and being barefoot in the unit, when I showered an hour later, my feet were black, from how dirty the condo floor was; there were finger prints all over the TV, and the air vents clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time. None of this was a dealbreaker enough for me to leave the unit, but if you're a clean freak, it may not be a great fit for you.

We stayed at this property and unfortunately had a very negative experience. Upon arrival around 3:20 PM, we were immediately met with a strong, unpleasant odor. After inspecting the apartment, we discovered significant mold around multiple vents, particularly in the kitchen and bathroom. The smell throughout the unit was difficult to tolerate. In the bedroom, the pillows smelled bad, and one was even damp, raising serious concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. We contacted the property and were offered either a refund or to have someone come clean the unit. However, the level of mold present was not something that could be resolved with basic cleaning and posed a potential health risk—especially since we were traveling with our 2-year-old child. By that time, it was already late in the day, and after more than 8 hours of travel, we were unable to find alternative accommodation for the night. We had no choice but to stay in these conditions. Communication with the property was also confusing. We initially understood that we would receive a credit for the first night, but after securing alternative accommodation for the following day and reaching out again, we received no response. We later learned through Booking.com that we would still be charged for the first night as well as a cleaning fee, which had not been clearly explained. To make matters worse, the photos in the listing did not appear to reflect the actual unit we were given and seemed misleading. Overall, being charged for a night in a property with visible mold, strong odors, and poor cleanliness, plus an additional cleaning fee, was unreasonable to say the least. This experience did not meet the standards we expected. We have asked for a refund for the first night and have not heard back. Hopefully Booking.com will take responsibility and fiks this.

Sandy floor upon entering. Couldn't get one ceiling fan to work. Only one trash bag and one paper towel roll for our stay of 5 days.
