The Landmark Penang

The spaciousness of the room. Location was okay with regular buses to and from town.

Nothing much. In fact I felt ripped off. I was under the impression I booked and paid for a room at The Landmark the only BnB but ended up in The Landmark Little Cabin which I knew even at the time of booking was inferior. It is unfortunate that the whole place is so poorly maintained. It was filthy, benchtops were sticky, the floor was SO DIRTY and the condition of the amenities was disgraceful - bits and pieces of cutlery and cooking utensils which I dared not even use, three random plates, .... I can go on and on ... dumped at the bottom of the sink cabinet - there was no shelf. A dish rack which had mould and dirty dining table. Overall the smell of a poorly maintained place which had seen better days. When contacted I am was told I had to communicate via WhatsApp by whomsoever was in charge. I asked about housekeeping and the usual service provided by serviced apartments and was told they would only come on 31/7. I was told that as there is a washing machine in the apartment, I was to wash the towels myself. This is the first instance of guests being told to do their host's duties. As I was expected to wash the towels I requested laundry detergent as there was none. I ended up supplying my own. The lifts especially during the weekend and checkout/in times was a shocker. I waited 40 minutes and was thinking of walking down except I was on level 29 and concerned I would not be able to get out at the other end. It didn't help that one of the 3 lifts was out of service for a few days leaving two lifts servicing some 40 floors. Booking.com should be more careful of the properties they promote especially where the names are similar. I feel ripped off as I had already been charged ahead of time and had no option but to stick it out. My communication to Booking.com on the very night I checked in was never acknowledged and I have to date not received a response. Disappointing.

Spacious, good facilities, easy to navigate to the carpark and the property, superb location in between georgetown and batu feringgi

Very slow and limited lift, had to take the stairs during checkout due to lots of people checking out

Large apartment. Everything is like at home. Washing machine and dryer. Large refrigerator. Swimming pool on the 5th floor. Nearby there is a lot of varied cuisine. No need to go anywhere to eat far away, walk 5 minutes, and please, whatever cuisine you want.👍

When we wanted to go down from the 15th floor to the 5th floor where the swimming pool is at 10:30 in the morning. We waited near the elevator for 50 minutes and still couldn't get into the elevator. The elevator was always full of people. There are 47 floors in this high-rise building. And we returned back to our apartment. Here is one VERY big minus.👇
