Casa Cereza Apartments

This is a funky apartment, with a lovely outside space. It is perfectly located in an authentic village. Hosts are very welcoming and helpful. Swimming in the river up stream is highly recommended as it is very refreshing.

There was a pet cockroach in the bathroom…😬

Too far away from PV and romantic zone. Logistically, the location is hard to find.

Lovely relaxing location in the village of Boca de Tomatlan. Comfortable bed, lovely outdoor seating area in enclosed garden. Fans indoors and outdoors and air conditioning in the bedroom. Owner in easy contact via WhatsApp. Drinking water provided and s/c room with kitchenette well stocked. Idyllic spot for a few days - within walking distance or a boat ride to beautiful beaches. Good eating places in the village (& along beachfront) & close to (taxi ride) a botanic garden.

Our room (Jungle Hideaway) was very dark inside. Access to the property if one has a lot of luggage is not easy as one has to cross a makeshift pedestrian bridge, so best to visit if travelling light!

The owners and their staff were all great! Very helpful and kind.

Location by the river and the beach. Nice toiletry and A/C provided..

gorgeous property with beautiful garden. rooms were spacious with full kitchen, fridge, fresh drinking water, stove and ample crockery and cutlery. even had a bag of ice in the freezer. the shower was hot and the overall space was perfect, so good in fact we booked to go back after we had 3 days in Yelapa.

it’s across the creek from the main part of town but it’s not really an issue. the good thing is you’re then away from the town noise in the night time

First the bad news. Cherry, the owner, overbooked. I did not actually stay at Casa Cereza. But one thing that separates a great property is how they take care of things when all does not go as planned. Cherry had Angel (the gardener and maintenance man) meet me and escort me to a neighbor’s home where she had a lovely room ready for me. I enjoyed a glass of wine with her one evening, and had coffee one morning with Nick, her husband. Nick even gave me a ride to an ATM when I was short on pesos. I saw the rooms and the facilities and it was lovely.

I am not sure anything could be better! However, you do have to walk across a footbridge over the river to reach the property or go to the beach. But they are within a 10 minute walk.
