There's nothing to dislike

We really enjoyed our stay at the Attic Bay apartment. The terrace and view are fantastic, especially sunrise and sunset. The apartment was super clean, nicely decorated, very comfortable with fully furnished kitchen, washing machine and even dishwasher. Plenty of sun on the terrace and in the apartment. Good underground parking (small car recommended). Perfect communication with the host, who waited us at our arrival and departure. Grocery shop and good restaurants at the doorstep. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended.

The apartment was wonderful. In an excellent location to everything but still quiet. The open roof top balcony was a joy.

The 2 mattresses for the beds were just a bit too hard for us both.

Gabriel was a super host. He met us in the carpark and made sure we could access the apartment. The position and views were so beautiful. Fridge had wine, local beer and juice for us which was a nice touch. I highly recommend.

What a delightful little studio. We loved the slightly quirky but extremely cosy interior layout and the little balcony allowed us to eat out and enjoy the view across the rooftops to the harbour whilst being sheltered from the sae breeze. Perfect in February. We also loved the location with a decent supermarket next door which was a godsend when we arrived quite late on our first evening and a short stroll down to all the little restaurants by the harbour. Who knew that Winston Churchill having a painting holiday in Camara de Lobos would still be such a big part of the local culture? As we were in Madeira to go walking we also really appreciated the easy access to the coast road and the fact that it was only ever about an hour to get to any of the walks we wanted to do though be very careful about which routes Google Maps chooses for you because unless you are really good at hill starts you want to make sure you stick to the more major routes for as long as possible.

Not a problem but a word of advice. Choose as small a hire car as you can get away with. The flat has a really good parking space but the ramps out are tight and very steep so we had to back and fill to get out and the final steep ramp upto the street requires you to rev up fully once you have got through the barrier to exit.

This is a little gem of a property, fabulous location, immaculate, everything you could possibly need. Great communication and help from Gabriel. We particularly loved the little rooftop terrace with the wonderful view across the village, the sea, and the sunsets were incredible. If this property is available for your dates, then definitely book it!!

I suppose the only problem tall people might have is with the sloping ceilings, as this is an attic. If you’re tall you’re likely to bump your head in certain areas, particularly one side of the bedroom and in the shower. But don’t let this put you off!!

Gabriel contacted us when we arrived at airport and met us in the car park at the harbour close by to Apartment and guided us into the private underground car park with reserved space for our car, easy access via card and remote control for garage door, perfect to go in and out freely at all times of day. Gabriel helped us into elevator in car park with our cases and into room to give tour around and answered all questions! Very helpful. Apartment via was absolutely beautiful across Cam de lobos bay over looking harbour, kids loved it. Shared bedroom with 2 x double beds in room suited us as the kids enjoyed all being in one room together, also the loved having a bath every day/night!! Gabriel had beers, wine and fruit on arrival for us, very much appreciated, the girls especially loved watering the beautiful plants on balcony during the visit. Such a perfect location as usually stay in Funchal, less busier at cam de lobos and still easy access to all parts of island we like to visit. All restaurant visited were great, especially Viola Restaurant roughly 10 minute drive from property. We also visited the Vila da carne next door to apartment also very good, and the restraunts at harbour serving lovely sea food!!

We could not fault anything at property and we will definitely recommend and will be back next time as we travel to madeira regular.
